I'll be prescient silly and guess that the Dryad is sad because people are being jerks to nature and forgetting the ties to it :v

You try climbing to the hole to get out.

You get out and sit between the branches, noticing a large tree in the middle of the forest. Is that actual center of the forest? Does the dryad lives there? It seems that there is a 'path' where trees are a bit more sparse.

You make it a point to find out; you climb down and make your way there, but it takes most of the day. You also decide to sleep in the middle of a tiny glade, away from any trees.

The morning comes and you continue, but in very short amount of time you reach the big tree. And then you see a girl - a four feet tall, blue-skinned girl that has leaf sprouts for hair and bark for nails and a thorny vine for a tail.

She notices you and squeaks in fear.

A) Stay motionless to show you're not a treat.
B) Tell her that you want to make her happy again.
C) Ask her if she is the/a dryad.

"Maybe?" She says in a high-pitched voice, almost a squeak.

A) Tell her that you're a traveler and that you want to make her happy.
B) Tell her who you are and that you have to make her happy.

She immediately breaks into tears.

"Oh but that is impossibloooo-ooh-ooohh!" She weeps for a moment longer.

"Big scary minotaur took my magical pebble, and and and my favorite singing parrot died and nobody sings for me, and also the Othwok pesters me with riddles that I can't answer and I still don't have children so there's no one to care for my tree and the forest after I dieeeee, boo-hoo-hoooo!"

You tell her that you will...

A) Find that Othwok and answer all his riddles.
B) Provide her with as many children as she wants.
C) Compose and sing a wonderful song for her.
D) Beat the crap out of the minotaur and recover her pebble.
