"That's it.....easy now...."
Charlotte continues stroking its head feathers and forehead instead of going for the neck. She attempts to fully tame the beast.
Bastion would try to approach the bird again, trying to calm it after the loss of it's rider. He was no replacement, but he believed he could pacify it enough for Charlotte to tame safely.
Twilight tries to help Charlotte in any way she can that'll make Charlotte's job a bit easier, such as calming it down a bit, or grabbing any equipment if necessary.
Nix (( if he' still away from the rest of the group who have met the native army)) tries using his new Kolinquo morph.
Bastion approaches the bird in an effort to calm its nerves, while Twilight comes in with the assist. [(8+2)/2] While they're combined efforts of hushing the bird and encouraging it to come forward do not disturb the creature, they don't seem to particularly help either. Its talons nervously claw at the ground as the two Cazadores approach it. Charlotte takes the reigns of the situation again, [Taming: 10+2] and this time makes the tactical decision to stroke the bird around the head as opposed to the neck. As soon as she does so, the bird's feathers ruffles and it croons it's head, letting out a soft cry that is happy and submissive. It then nuzzles its head against Charlotte's neck, a good sign and an apparent signifier of success.
Nix tries out his new Kolinquo Archer/Rider morph. He quickly takes on a mirror image form of the Kolinquo rider, utterly indistinguishable as far as he can tell. The morph was only on the biological level of course, so while he has all of the Kolinquo's flesh and bones, he has none of his extraneous equipment, such as clothing.
Garuga feels that this isn't the most befitting place for his scene and walks down the road, joining his comrades and their accompaniment.
"Sure. I don't wanna make this guy suspicious by spending too much time whispering, though, so I'll do it later."
"That sounds fine. There are some more losers a bit further behind us, but I'm not expecting them to get here anytime soon, so..." Wario shrugs. "I'd just as soon leave them behind; they can catch up later, if they decide to take a break from messing around."
Ulibossk follows the group, with their new escorts.
"I wish to stand before your God, if at all possible, milord."
Anna continues attempting to save the man's soul from Ulibossk.
Wario agrees to Topilizin's offer. "Then it is settled! We will set off now, or whenever you prefer, it looks as though more of your friends are arriving." While the Administrator looks at the approaching Cazadores, Logan asks to stand before Solangre. "That, my dear fellow is up to Solangre and not to me. It is not fitting for a mortal to choose who should be able to meet a God! Then again there is High Priest Nyugix, who is somewhere between man and God and attends to Solangre personally. But nevermind that." Topilizin would pull Wario aside to whisper, "That fellow in the armor sounds suspiciously woman-like, thought you ought to know."
Garuga appears, and not at full size yet, does not cause anything of stir.
Ulibossk, on the other hand, does. More specifically, his Kolinquo thrall alerts Topilizin, who breaks away from his conversation. "Dear Solangre, what's happened to this man?!" He waves his hand in front of the thrall's face, which of course nets no response. He looks towards the person leading said thrall, Ulibossk. "Why is this man like this? Why is he following you? What are you anyway, you're hideous!" The Administrator turns to the rest of the group, "Is this thing with you?"
Anna runs forth to try and free the thrall herself using the magic, but the soul is clearly somewhere else, specifically under Ulibossk's domain. She could figure that this Kolinquo would not be freed from Ulibossk's spell until the mind-flayer willed him to be free, or was broken of a mind link in some way.
