never heard about this one, but it's been flying around the interwebs these last days. 9 years in the making and it seems to have many interesting features that put it apart from the original games.

never played a fakemon game before so i cant say much. but it seems quite complete in terms of graphics and depth.

the starting scene was quite intriguing too.

what do you guys think?

NOTE: i put it in a separate thread because well, its a fan made game so i dont think it should belong in the official Pokemon thread.

you can get the links to the important sites in the trailer too. its not a hack room, but a independent program. kinda like installing undertale...

due to the history of this game, its original main site and other official links dont exist anymore.

I'm not sure how I didn't catch wind of this earlier, but damn, for a fan game, the polish on this thing is amazing.

Definitely gonna give this a try when I get the chance.

I can see just from the trailer that lot of dedication went into this, but geez, lot of these fan game have such ridiculous fanfiction-level plot points. "Save the wotld from irradiated pokemons"? I know main pokemon games don't have much of plot either, but at least they are light-hearted and don't leave you incredulous.

Of course, pure first impression so let's see if the game changes my mind.

i dont know, for a universe where pokemons toxic sludge and garbage can be alive. having a nuclear fallout setting seems plausible enough.

one of the main unrealistic things in pokemon is that somehow they have energy for their cities but they dont show any kind of waste or energy sources.

for now the twitter says that its due to overload only. i guess that if they receive a letter from them they will notice the community...

Seems to be overload.  I've played it a bit (surprising because pokemon is not an activity I normally partake of), I like the fakemon a lot actually, they look good and a skilled player could probably use them far better than I can.  (All I've got is brute force here, the type weakness/strength web is just way too damn complicated.)

there are at least two gifts for the release. a shiny pokemon and destiny knot.

i started playing and have just reached the first gym. but the battles have been hard. need to train a mankey i have caught along with a ground/steel poke i got in a cave.
