Good enough. Meditate beneath the sticks. On, uh, the relation between nature and man, or something.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Reincarnate.

Find a nice sized cave or, failing that, a human sized indentation in a wall.

Drag the bus driver out and knock him out and steal the bus and make it my home in the mountains.
"But what, truly, is a bus driver? Is it a person, complete with hopes, dreams and personality, or is it simply a seat to be filled? Does one attain the status of bus driver merely by driving a bus? If that is so, does a man who cuts grass cease to be a man, coming to have more in common with a lawnmower? Does an Olympic swimmer become a fish? If you were to drive this bus, would you be the bus driver? Would you as you are now cease to exist and become something entirely new? What if..."

Bore my would-be attacker to sleep with my philosophical ponderings!
Failing that, boot 'em in the face as I drive!

Try and keep an eye on the road whilst doing all this, of course, but it's not such a big deal.
We are guided by inner light on this journey, hence the lack of need for maps.

Accept my fate and become one with the bus.
1

You slowly begin to suffocate on engine fumes.

Search for food and/or mates. Prepare to defend myself from other crabs looking to steal my shell.
2

You scuttle about. Then out of nowhere, a cuttlefish! Aaaargh! Run! You hide among sea anenomes till it goes away.

Meditate to deepen my understanding further.
3

You get a headache from all the water falling on your head.

meditate while watching the lake
3

You fall in, and nearly drown in several inches of water.

Good enough. Meditate beneath the sticks. On, uh, the relation between nature and man, or something.
2

The monsoon season comes as soon as you're started. Floods sweep you and your shelter into a gorge. Then a maniac grabs you and drags you back to his meagre bolthole, before carving into you with a stick. Reincarnate Y/N?

Ascend the slope!
2

You strive upwards, the light of your realisation shining in your eyes. Then something witty happens and you break an ankle.

State gained: cripple

locate some sources of food and water.
1

The flesh of your fellow man shall provide! You grab King Murdoc and drag him back to your shelter screaming, before consuming his flesh and drinking the blood.

Item gained: bones

-1 Humanity: you have achieved greater communion with nature!

Reincarnate.

Find a nice sized cave or, failing that, a human sized indentation in a wall.

1

You create your own cave, by screaming at rocks on the mountainside above you till they fall down. You realise when inside that there are no doors or windows.

Status gained: trapped under boulders

grow a jetpack and fly outta here
5

You concentrate, and time slows as your observe your thoughts and the rhythms of your own body. Imperceptibly at first, you begin to lift off the ground, and even drift about a little. Soon, you soar over the valleys, before returning the the cave to see your own body slumped against a rock. Looks like this was some kind of out-of-body experience, like you had on acid that one time.

+1 Understanding

+1 to Levitation rolls

+1 to Spirit Walking

Realize that being a hermit is a state of mind, not of physical isolation
1

You become increasingly confused, and eventually forget what a hermit is.

+1 mindlessness: you have achieved greater communion with nature!

Now to Find a Cave, Preferably one with Bears.
4

You wander into caves till you find one with bears. You manage to infiltrate their society and imitate their young.

+1 feral: you have achieved greater communion with nature

I shall light the nearest urban area on fire, and from the ashes, nature and true peace shall grow.
5

You steal into a settlement in the dead of night, and find several barrels of gasoline. You proceed to burn the inhabitants alive in their beds, and by the morning there is nothing but ashes and charcoal.

-1 Humanity: you have achieved greater communion with nature.

+1 Frenzy: you feel the call of the beast.

Drag the bus driver out and knock him out and steal the bus and make it my home in the mountains.

5v3

The attempt to capture the bus is conceived of and planned out excellently. Only one key element is neglected: the face that the bus is moving erratically at high speed through a succession of fences. This lack of foresight leaves Somokus hanging desperately onto the wing mirror and Yoink's boot. Yoink does his best to drive while stretched between the passenger door and the wheel.

In the distance, what might be an ancient tropical rainforest comes into view.

Andres, Sosoku234, and zizzo have attained solitude.

Poobah, VishdaFish and Sarrak have attained understanding.

Dustan Hache, Demonic Spoon and crazyabe have attained mindlessness.

Ardent Debater has attained beasthood.

Continue not thinking. Only by maintaining a state of mindlessness can true enlightenment be achieved
