Untrained peasant beat the crap out of a giant cave spider and a cave crocodile

His highest combat skill AFTER both fights was NOVICE, he didn't kill them, he just left them injured and walked away.... till he kept going back to the crocodile, then the spider showed back up and the crocodile and it are fighting each other and he is leaving, his neck is torn open and his head is cut and that's IT, I've had military dwarves die to just a cave spider, this guy is getting his own golden coffin

"Dangerous" wildlife is often buggy currently, and often don't fight back. (Search for the threads about "friendly" trolls, GCS, etc).

oh they weren't friendly, viewing the combat logs showed he was attacked but he was dodging them

You know why dwarves have below average agility? Natural selection. The agile ones run faster and are more likely to run into a gcs and die dodging it.
