What it says in the title. Whenever I generate a world and make my character, and even start the game, everything goes fine. But when I save the game and reload, it always crashes. Can anyone help me?

EDIT: It seems to always happen on the "loading artifacts" section of the loading screen.

EDIT EDIT: Generated another world, this time I crashed on the "loading squads" section.

I've got this problem aswell except I can't even create an adventurer

Same, but when playing Succubi in fort mode. Tried dwarves too, but again, when "loading artifacts came, it crashed. I'm using Stal's armour pack + Historic arms + Terrible weapons. I'll try without them when i come home.

After disabling these, it seems to load so far (after generating new world, embarking, playing for 5 min, saving, restarting DF and loading). Do you guys had this problem with these mods on?

Which part exactly? TWBT, creature sprites, or ascii tileset?

I just went back to the default tileset and color and it worked

Yeah. Got crashes on trying to embark, trying to open adventure mode, and on the rare occasion that I succeed in creating an adventurer: Loading a save.

Is there a nailed down fix for this? I've lost at least 10 hours of game play so far to these annoying ass crashes

Posting for posterity. I came back to DF to play some masterwork after getting the itch, but my game almost ALWAYS crashes similar to what is seen here. Sometimes worldgen crashes, but it's mostly fine. However, once I try to load any type of game no matter the civilization I crash before it's at the embark screen. From what I've seen it's a nearly identical problem to OP crashing at "loading squads". This issue persists to loading from a save too, as I've gotten a game to work at least once, but could not play it after trying to load it no matter what I tried.

You wouldnt believe how ... surprised, confused, amused in a negative, ironic way... I am. I make an update purely focused on bugfixing and eradicating crashes, suddenly a lot more crash reports come up about something I have no idea how to test. Saves crashing at loading? Thats new.

Could you (ferals, Excaerious, DaSwayza, bennerman, scourge728) upload any saves that cause these issues?

Meph, I have some info for you:

It has to do with Stal's weapon mod, all armor, weapons, ranged weapons, and ammos, if any of them are enabled, a world can't be re-used if these things are active. I don't know why, but once I deactivated those mods, everything is working fine

Is this true for the other people that had crashes? can anyone confirm this, did you enable stals armory pack?

I have it enabled but after quickly making a world, an adventurer and then reloading I'm not crashing, like I said it was only happening with one of the alternate graphics packs and colors... default works fine
