Take the ID cards of another dead solder approximately amy age and gender, hair color, exc, so my leader wont execute me for having a poor throwing arm.

Alright, fine. Now that several other morons have charged across the open field and softened up the Orks, charge in and shoot Orks.
[3] vs [4] As you run across the battlefield, you fire off a few shots and hit some fellow guardsmen! The range and their flak vests means none of them die [1] vs [3] but the commissar didn't see you do it and thus does not execute you!

Continue CHARGING!!!
[5] vs [6] You charge the the ork in front of you with your bayonet, but he krumps you before you can even lay a scratch on him. (You are dead.)

First action: Lob a grenade at the commissar. Is he a lord commissar?
[3] vs [3] You throw a grenade at the commissar, but he catches it and throws it back at you! [6] vs [6] You catch it just like he did, but the fuze finishes running and you explode in a gory mess before you can ask him whether he is a lord commissar or not. (You are dead.)

Throw a grenade to the orks and charge with my knife
[5-1] vs [3] Your grenade lands near the orks, killing four guardsmen and injuring an ork! [1] vs [6] The commissar does not see this successful act of traitory. You stand up and start hopping towards the orks to finish the job but you bleed out before you do! (You are dead.)

[3] vs [6] You quickly look around for a dead guardsman to desecrate the corpse of, but you find no one! Everyone else left the trench to charge the orks! [4] vs [6] The commissar continues firing at you but your cover is sturdy and protects you. You see him take out his chainsword and charge you in frustration.

Everyone:
The charge has successfully softened up the orks for the next offensive at the low cost of 80% of the guardsmen who undertook it. You hear a sharp whistle signalling the retreat. This is the last phase of the battle.

Please submit your actions. You are assumed to have joined the fight and fought some orks doing little to no damage.

It's someone from the trench you came from. Your commanding officer is signalling you to retreat.

It's someone from the trench you came from. Your commanding officer is signalling you to retreat.
((Probably one of us should've actioned to get organized with our chain of command since the Commissar is just doing his duty. :P However the game just had to start with a charge order--that if not obeyed, ends with...punishment. Go, go, Astra Militarum! :D Guess us waitlisters will be ushered in as reinforcements or somewhat. Just wishing I won't die on the first action again [but the second action's the charm!]

Also wow, everyone died. That's the problem if our sergeant dies. :I We lack dice bonuses. Gahhh))

Edit: Woah wait why wasn't I told us new sheets can act as if we're generally alive on the field. :I

Get to retreating! If I'm in not-that-far-but-not-that-close proximity to other allies but to the orks, lob a grenade! Focus on retreating, but focus also on no-friendly-fire! Try to get some shots off if I can spare it.

Do a fighting retreat, toss my grenade if friendly fire seems unlikely.

That's the current culture in how to keep morale or anti-heresy up in general [I mean some aren't as good as Ibram Gaunt...], but I sorely advise not to really go through with shooting the Commissar assigned to our squad. If this one is actually tainted by Chaos or such, we're not of the rank to actually figure it out yet just because he's shooting us. The consequences mean being branded traitors and being killed either way, or the GM spinning it out into another...plotline of being renegades, which...somehow I find a nice twist of creativity o_O))
