Ah, but Naegi's luck and Komaeda's luck were different and behaved differently. Same goes with Pedro's luck.

You see, Naegi was a drifter and an optimist, so his luck always made sure he was in the right place to survive, and balanced out by putting him in bad situations. On the other hand, Komaeda had more control over his luck, because he had a goal, a dream, and a strong drive. But since Komaeda wasn't much of a planner, his luck only ever gave him what he wanted at the time.

Pedro absolutely IS a planner. He's not super strongly driven, but he's hardly a drifter. So his luck only really operates in that it makes anything he plans to do come to fruition, which means that he not only can be executed, he will be.

But Pedro's wild ride never ends. You thought Maria was bad...


The characters were a bit more fluid before the trial, but I think this has really set the plot in stone. Pedro's Plan has no chance not to become reality, now.
