True, it would be best to wait.

True, it would be best to wait.
Yep, but in that time, there's around 9 other people to poke. Especially at D1, it is not best to wait on someone because that'd seem strange :P given the many other folks around, which can lead to the impression of "tunneling" (ie tunnel vision and otherwise).
What's your impression of everyone here?

Tiruin: Three things:
*I'd really rather not hammer purely for information.  I don't expect us to have many opportunities to hammer scum.  Let's make them count and take out the scummy (and gain info as we do so).
*Why raise the info lynch possibility right now?
*There is a rule in the OP against quoting your role PM.
I...am not thinking because of tiredness. >.<
Quote
Rules:
Votes must be red and bolded
The game runs on a modified hammer system. Days last until one person has at least 50% of the other people voting for them and then 6 hours after that, a hammer can be canceled during this time.
You can edit your posts as many times as you want, but only during the day and only of that day's posts
No quoting role pms
There is an unknown amount of mafia and/or third parties in this game
Keep the discussions civil and if you need to ask me anything bold and purple it please
I will always tell you the truth but I might not answer your question
Mephansteras can't play as he knows the set-up, sorry man
And no PMing other players
And you must be in or have played one other Mafia game.
And didn't parse the 5th line when I glanced at the OP.

The info lynch-idea was more because I was wondering by metaknowledge on the idea of editing in this game. It brought me to the suggestion that flavor may play a role, and/or that there's some kind of mechanism going about the edits that may benefit people (ie Wacky third-parties). Like...remembering a certain anecdote from a game where posts needed to be sour or not because of...something. It was a Mephanesteras-creative game.
...Yeah I'll shelf that idea now that I think of it.

I have the ability to edit any of my posts even in earlier days. I'm still not sure why I would want to do that though.
OSG: What made you decide to reveal this?
Wasn't there another person other than you who did mention being able to do that?

PFP - Didn't reread to update info.

Okay, I prodded him and I'll wait a bit before putting him up for replacement.

Giving waitlisted people the ability to murder non-responsive players was a great idea. Need to do that more often.

Definitely.

Is it bad that I'm considering pushing for a no lynch?

Um... okay. How about some more questions. Get people riled up.

Tiruin: Top scum pick?
Jack A T: If the scum didn't already know of it, then you just gave them a potentially useful strategy in the stealth hammer. Why would you risk that?
origamiscienceguy: If you had the choice of alignment inspecting two relatively new players for their alignment, or inspecting a pro for his/her alignment, which would you choose? And under what circumstances would you use your special vote change power?
juicebox: What ideas do you have for how to speed up the day?
Deus Asmoth: If you had a 1-shot self revive, would you play more riskily as town?
The Moonlit Shadow: Explain your opinion on Tiruin's answer.

I'd inspect the two noobs. This setup seems to have a lot of powers. I have 7, I would like to ask everybody how many powers they have, just a number. Maybe a tool to finding scum. Regardless, knowing two players is better than one in my opinion, because you can use process of elimination.

And I don't have a vote change power, I can just edit my own posts in previous days, but Fillipk explicitly told me that it would not change a lynch

@tiruin: I don't have much of an impression of anyone right now. I'm still trying to get reads.

@FoU: seems to me the best way to speed up the day would be to scumhunt.

Yes. I have 7 powers, but I cannot use them all at once. How many do you have?

Define 'riskily'. I'd probably try to imply some kind of protect or inspect to draw a kill, but I doubt it'd change my day game much. Getting intentionally mislynched just to revive would be a bit pointless, after all.

If I roleflipped, then I'd be confirmed as town, so I'd likely have a strong position for the next day phase. Then I'd probably get killed depending on the absence or presence of protects in the game. If I didn't roleflip, then it doesn't really affect the game state all that much aside from probably getting killed/lynched again the following phase.

Post editing can also be used to mess with people heads and to make them wonder what the post originally said.

DA: Does the fact that this post was edited bother you?
Not especially. I'd think it was suspect if it was a post you'd made some time ago, but doing it for the sake of pointing out you did it doesn't achieve much.

One. Which is why I consider your claim... just... wow. If you're town, I don't think you should have claimed that(you might have just made yourself a target). Are you town?
