I've seen the "we can not act openly, but perhaps you can teach them a thing or two" type of "almost but not quite war" quests, not this one though, nice.

Interesting, you lucky falcon man.  There's only one thing to do now: cut down their precious trees and murder every elf in a gloriously brutal fashion!

Or I think successfully asking for tribute would suffice--I believe it works when dealing with bandits anyway--but where's the fun in that?

Once you reach the very last elf in the settlement, make sure to make him/her suffer grievously. Wrestle their head with your hands and gouge out their eyes and tongue, punch out their teeth, break all their limbs and joints, and spit on them repeatedly until they bleed out/you get bored and decide to stomp their head in.

You could also do that to Kifino, the elf your lady mentioned, as he/she sounds like Hailblocks' authority figure. Either way, the elf genocide has now been cast upon you in a quest that pretty much nobody has ever seen before. Don't let us down my dude.

Well, it seems like I will not be getting this quest. After hunting down every single night creature, semi-megebeast, driving out every bandit and kobold from almost a third of the entire map, this is what I get.

Can you cut down their trees in the new version? that would be a pretty easy way to kill them then
