In regards to vote counts, in the future I'll try to keep a running count of votes so we'll know where everyone stands once voting is done.

If we are going to march in daylight with a force we need to have as large a one as possible.  You win this kind of thing with intimidation and if they do end up attacking daytime is the worst time to have a small force.

Either raid at night with a small force or siege at dawn with a large one.

With option 1 we have more then 300 people, with option 2 we have 75.

That's 400 additional poorly trained and poorly equipped people. The best they'll do here is eat arrows and do a sort of quantity is a quality of its own thing.

If the Skraelings are setting up to raid us then we want to have some force at home. Leaving the militia people is a good compromise between an effectivr raiding force and protecting our home.

The problem with taking the larger force is that it leaves our settlement relatively unguarded, and makes our force too large for it to be considered a diplomatic visit. So we need to keep it down to a fairly reasonable size.

God damn it, did we not learn our lesson regarding the day time activity yet? Let's attack at night like the runes told us. It's what our warriors - the guys who could depose us if they don't like us - want to do. Even if the daytime thing is successful they'll grumble. If it fails, it'll be worse than grumbles.
