You move in a path to intercept the granades. You know that they explode after a timer, so you act quick. You grab your long rifle by the barrel, and swing it like a baseball bat and return the grenades to the sender. You rebound around 6 grenades when the first ones explode, killing the suicide bombers and setting off yet another chain reaction because of the extra grenades they were carrying. You pull yourself inside the tungeten sphere to protect yourself from the radiation. You see a bright flash light up the room, and the tungsten on one side glows red hot, then white hot, then it melts completely. The liquid tungsten floats together into a sphere due to it's own surface tension, but otherwise stays where it was. The boarders were all dead, and the reactor was saved (barely). The few remaining friendly soldiers begin making hand signals and you assume they are sending and recieving orders through their radio. You fiddle with your own radio and are greeted with the voice of a gruff man. "Move it Private! Next time you better listen to orders instead of playing golf with grenades, or I will have you court marshaled. Sargent Braden out." The remaining soldiers float out through the doors, and some just go through the breach. You decide to follow them.

They go to the USSS Lexington's main hangar, where mechanics and pilots were running everywhere, and ships were leaving, docking, refueling, and rearming. Friendly soldiers were trickling in from enterences everywhere, presumably having won the battles elsewhere on the ship. Sargent Braden speaks over the radio again. "Now, Captain Rogers, our CO has decided that we need to go on the offensive. We will go in two boarding ships, 50 men each. We will have some extra men, and Captain Phillips, the pilots' CO, has reported that we have more ships than pilots, so if anybody has flight experience, you are to report to Captain Phillips and get in a fighter." Do you go in a fighter, or join the boarding party?

We probably have loads of experience from flying the window-washing ship. I say we go in one of the fighters.

+1 stock up on duct tape as we run. Never now when it's going to come in handy again.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Perhaps by Dakka they meant an Industrial-Strength Glue-Gun? That's the Only real Dakka for us!

Most soldiers immediately funnel into the two boarding ships, but a few trickle towards Captain Phillips. You have flown the window washing ship, nearly every week, so how hard could a military-grade fighter be? You and a few others form a semi-circle around captain Phillips, and he tells everybody the plan. "You only job is to escort the two boarding ships. You have not been trained in dog fighting, so just fly close to the boarding ships and look imposing. If someone gets too close, just fly towards him as a group until he retreats. Your ships are the older models, and they won't last a second in real combat, so stay in formation. Good luck." Everybody funnels towards the remaining ships, with the soldiers selecting the newer models first, leaving you with the oldest ship. It was still better than the window-washer, so you were quite content. You wedge your long rifle and pistol into some grooves, and tie a string to the triggers and into the cockpit, so you could trigger them from inside. You also "borrow" a staple gun and a hot glue gun from a mechanic and attach them similarly. You also find a resupply of duct tape and take it with you. You then close the canopy and start the ship.

Some actual pilots fly out first, followed by the boarding ships, followed by your group of rag-tag fighters. You leave the hangar through the bottom of the ship (or what was the bottom while artificial gravity was turned on) the machine turrets around the hangar door keep away any fighters from attacking the exiting ships, but after you leave their effective range, the enemy start harassing the boarding ships. Individual fighters come into range, fire a few shots, then retreat again after the escorts turn to face them, before returning again. Most shots miss, and most that hit do trivial damage, but a few ships get disabled or destroyed, slowly whittling down the boarding ship's defenders. You look for the RFSS Sinop, and are surprised to see how far away it is. The USSS Lexington was firing massive projectiles at the Sinop, but you could see it was taking many shots as well. There were creaters all along the length of the Lexington where shots were landing. It didn't look like any shots had pierced the external armor yet, but it was only a matter of time until a few shots land in the same place and punch a hole straight through.

The boarding ships and your escort ships were still accelerating towards the Sinop, but so were the enemy fighters. And your scanners show that a group of a dozen fighters were forming up on your starboard site to prepare a strike on the boarding craft you are supposed to be defending. Your ship is only armed with 2 Gauss blasters and the weapons you jury-rigged on it. Unless you got a lucky hit, your shots would only cause a distraction. You need a full disruption.

We should Tape The Gas Down while Aimed at a Collision Course with Half of the Ships, Eject at the Last Moment, Land on one of the Un-hit Ships And Take it Over {If Possible}While Brandishing A Bottle Of Cleaner That has a Tendency to Eat through Human Flesh as a Weapon{/if Possible}.
Because who Needs Weapons to Take over a Ship and Destroy Eleven More? Of course this is Thinking that we are In some Form of space Suit now that we are on A Ship.

This sounds good.

Or we could get a lucky shot with our glue gun and have it hit an enemy's thruster and glue it shut, overheat it and causing it to explode in the middle of the formation, causing a chain reaction of explosions that cleared the way for us entirely.

You break the formation without saying anything, they'd probably think you were having a malfunction. You change course to intercept the enemy fighters. You take some of the duct tape you restocked on, and tape the throttle to max thrust. You check your respirator to make sure it was still supplying correctly, then you then open the canopy. Since the cockpit wasn't pressurized anyways, it didn't matter. Working fast, you take a stick of hot glue and load it into the barrel of your long rifle, and remove your Gauss pistol and staple gun from your ship.At this point, you were halfway to intercepting, so you spin your ship around and start matching the speed of the enemies. You wait for the perfect moment, then hit the eject switch, launching you out of the ship with solid rocket motors, completely matching the velocity of the fighters, while at the same time pulling the string connected to your long rifle. The trigger is pulled which fired the Gauss projectile straight through the hot glue stick, liquefying it and launching the glue goop into the engine bell of the central enemy fighter. You, however, continue to match velocity with your ejection seat, until you jump out and land straight on the cockpit of the enemy fighter. You partially fire the staple gun into the ship to remain anchored, and fire the pistol at the canopy. The pilot looks at you in shock, then starts firing his own pistol. Both guns are unable to destroy the canopy, but they do weaken it. Meanwhile, behind the ship you are on, the middle ship explodes from the back end from your hot glue, which sends fragments of metal in all direction except forwards, because the front of the ship stopped them. The fragments then spread out and strike every single enemy fighter except the one you are on. The pilot looks backwards with a furious look on his face, then notices that you are only anchored by the staple gun on the canopy, and his hand reaches for the button to eject it.

unanchor ourself and hold onto the nose of the craft when he ejects the canopy, then grab our wrench and smack his bitchass little wrist to take his pistol like the bully we are.

Take his helmet, too. Let him suffocate.
