Tick 10.0: AftershockThe Pravenese Navy has raided numerous cities, plundering their wealth and secrets yet generally leaving their inhabitants. Hit particularly hard are the layers near the base of the mountain up to Jannah, where heavy resistance and experimental technology turned them away along with the traps of the Zwerge. They have still managed to blast away the rail connection to the Terminae caverns out of spite while fleeing to regroup. With great blessings to keensightedness, they have managed to discover a previously essentially unknown race of giant brains and another of relatively hairless pink apes. Through their travels, they have concentrated on the Jakatts and Arani in their forests to free up their wood, the Nautils for their proximity to the Great Ocean, the Fhortan for their luck, Chaos Slaughterers for their pelts, Gandtraelites for their spices, Turistians for their gullible tourist habits, Norkatts for their metal, Kattorks for their trinkets, and Fritzies and Morridim for their magnetic personalities. The Navy had several brief clashes with giant purple blobs which ended inconclusively.
For those not suffering enough inland, massive beastman raids have broken out with more emphasis on burning and less on pillaging. They have managed to wipe out a few isolated Maissi clans, burn down a forest containing Arani and another containing Jakatts, destroy Gandtraelite camps, burn down many non-Fhortan gambling houses, and tear down enlightened beastmen dwellings.
Wstfgl has warned the thinly distributed and unprofitable-to-attack dream-feeders of the Pravenese navy.
Fortuna watches the Fhortan get lucky enough to avoid the brunt of Praven's assault. They are certainly lucky for having the finest (except one) gambling houses in all the lands, and the dead relish their chance to mingle with the living to rum, games putting the loot to good use, beer, rum, tales of past adventures, and more rum if only for a night. A meager few gambling houses and villages get pillaged nonetheless.
Following a completely unexpected relapse of rioting combined with the sudden appearance of many heresies, the Terminae have mostly strayed away from worshipping Landria. They now predominantly worship Zenrach, Sadiq, Death, and the late Ovorr.
Mumuski watches as the pirates manage to bypass much of the Zwerge defenses by way of coming from the air and being mostly dead already, not to mention shielded by Praven's extensive investments into the Navy. They still manage to get away with less damage than many other races, and some have decided to become pirates to join in the sea shanties.
Frami guesses that Ovorr's death was likely not directly responsible for the widespread breakdown in order among the civilizations.
Frami listens to prayers:
Nautil sailor: "Their ships! They can fly!"
Arani administrator: "Could you work on banning crime? It's very disruptive."
Enlightened beastman villager: "The unenlightened beastmen came in and ruined our village! We even tried giving them our best shinies, but they crushed and destroyed all of them!"
Gandtrael listens to prayers:
Gandtraelite scout: "Does that harp even work?"
? ? ?: "We've been spotted!"
Gandtraelite builder: "They burnt our herbs! Our precious herbs!"
Death has nominally fortified the Bubble wall. (Death: -1E)
Wstfgl has taken the initiative in the restoration of order, previously assisted by Landria and now also LIGHT (LIGHT: -2E). LIGHT has begun calling for the isolation of the strange bloodied rock given its unnatural resistance.
Opposed by Wstfgl and Landria, Zenrach has managed to cause some chaos, mostly among the aptly named chaos slaughterers leading to many deaths and Turistians, who refuse to tip and have been kicked out of many an establishment and left to starve. (Zenrach: -6E)
