Fortuna responds to prayers:
Concerned Fhortan citizen: "Something that gives them half our skill!"
Fhortan gambler: "Hah! I got you to perform a miracle!"

The Fhortan gambler has built a ramshackle gambling house out of soggy planks and frayed rope. Anyone who actually enters must surely feel lucky.

    Fhortan astrologer: "Outsiders"

Landria gurgles in pride at her creations, going about the world. They were the best!

Teach Terminae how to make primitive cannons
Teach Terminae Necromancers some secrets of Life and Death

Help the PRC to develop better detection tools to make mapping out the Leyline network easier
But could the Leyline Trains be improved even further? Landria attempts to find out!
Does the placement of the monoliths form some sort of pattern that could be used to predict where other monoliths are?

Bless Anansi magician with even more magical powers, and more gold rocks.
Help the proliferation of more technology among the Anansi and Shimmerhands

Mani secretly spies on Death, especially looking for any secret race he has made.

"Secrets are fun! Mani wants to know them too! Yay, secrets!"

3E (4-1E from Life sphere discount) : Create a unit of nautils in the great ocean.

Check on all Frami-related races and see how their development is coming along (that would be, Aranis, Nautils, Enlightened Beastmen and Hyrrans).

"Ah, Captain Praven your lobsters are most interesting, no? Great shame that they've eliminated all that oceanic trade, yes? Could you possibly lessen their desire to loot perhaps? It would be most unseemly if Sadiq had to get involved."

Mumuski seemed lost in thought for a time thinking on what to do before she had a idea, why not give the Zwerg a few more musical instruments and a few other things? It couldn't hurt right?
Mumuski teaches the Zwerg how to make Pianos, Harps, Accordions, Basses, Violins, Bagpipes, and finally Trumpets.
Mumuski Also teaches the Zwerg more advance trap techniques and how to make windmills and watermills if they didn't know how already.
Mumuski then tries to list the difference in technological advancement each race has starting with the most advanced and ending with the least.

Re: YagG 4 IC [16/40]: Tick 6.0: Proliferate
« Reply #337 on: July 30, 2016, 03:25:38 am »

Tick 6: Proliferate!

It has begun raining pine needles in Fhortan lands! (Fortuna: -1E)

Landria has taught the Terminae about primitive cannons and their necromancers some secrets of Life and Death. Landria has also given the PRC detection tools and has begun looking for ways to improve the Leyline Trains/Drains. The placement of monoliths seems to be in a pattern only comprehensible to Xislo, if at all.

The Anansi magician, having been blessed with actual magic powers and more gold rocks, has taken to shipping junk to Jannah as free instant transportation back to the starting town.

Landria has further assisted with the technology of the Anansi and the Shimmerhands, who have begun to grow more dependent on godly assistance.

Landria has also blessed a random Scorim engineer.

Mani spies on Death, who disappears. No secret race can be found.

Frami has created another unit of Nautils in the Great Ocean. (Frami: -4E)

The Aranis continue building skyscraperstreehouses and expanding Arboria. They have recently been annoyed by the Molski and their victims and their unfortunate habit of felling the largest trees to replenish their ships. The Nautils have gradually been moving into Typhonum for its excellent environment and protection from roving fleets of pirates and their impressing ways. The Enlightened Beastmen are few in number and have mostly settled in Arboria and, to a lesser extent, Jannah. The Hyrrans have been settling in the lava tunnels and exploring them.

Gandtrael has held a Gratacan knowledge tournament, inviting all the races. Many have begun openly spreading nasty, probably untrue rumors about telepathy and the brainfaith.

Sadiq has requested that the pirates scale back their raids to give time for the merchants to mature.

Sadiq discusses Scorim ideas with a Scorim friend:
   Scorim engineer: "I guess not."

Mumuski has introduced or improved a number of instruments to/for the Zwerge along with trapping and the ever-popular windmills/watermills, which will probably be introduced to them again soon. Mumuski has also imagined herself sorting the races by advancement. Imagination is fun!

((Discount declined: Discounts on basic races would upset the balance and have unexpectedly drastic effects in the long run. Agents and artifacts are still fair game, though.))

Spoiler: Deities (16) (click to show/hide)

Sphere suggestions this Tick are Murder and Family.

((Unless the Fhortan population has grown large enough, I think I should have 21E. Had 17E last Tick, -1 for my random miracle, and +5 for worship))

Concerned Fhortan citizen: "Something that gives them half our skill!"

"It'll be done shortly."

Fhortan gambler: "Hah! I got you to perform a miracle!"

The Fhortan gambler has built a ramshackle gambling house out of soggy planks and frayed rope. Anyone who actually enters must surely feel lucky.

"Come now, child, you can surely make it better than that? A gambling house is a temple! It must be treated as such."

    Fhortan astrologer: "Outsiders"

"There's no need to play coy. Which outsiders? Is this at the behest of another deity?"

Landria continues encouraging technologic independence among the Anansi and Shimmerhands as was his intention all along when not teaching them specific technologies, and is unsure why they were growing more dependent and not less.

Teach the Terminae how to make blast furnaces
Improve Leyline train further

Listen to prayers

1E : Increase the Nautils' affinity for elemental magic (specifically, water magic)
1E : Increase the Hyrrans' affinity for elemental magic (specifically, fire magic)
0E : Create the Tree-guards, a force of voluntary Arborians (citizens of Arboria) who's role is to prevent people other than Arborians to cut down trees and also to keep the city peaceful (using violence only as a last resort, but Aranis should be able to use their mesmerizing singing instead so no problems).

Listen to prayers.

[Katzerie, the Token God]

Katz goes to the Kattorks, and creates something. (2G, south)
Great birds, wingspan the length of 15 men's heights, with brown feathers. Strong birds, with vicious claws.
These birds have great feathers, and fly far. If tamed, they can carry people and goods.
Their feathers make great arrow fletchings.
Katz creates Rocs, and distribute them in the mountains around the center of the 2G layer.

[Katzerie, the Token God]

Katzerie creates some small furry creatures.
A small predator, with small fangs and claws. Capable of climbing and running at great speed for it's size.
They are curious creatures, and exploring something usually involves chewing them. They are the bane of furniture.
They are somewhat magnetic, capable of sticking to metallic surfaces, and climbing them.
Glowing stripes in their fur appears when they activate their magnetism.
Katz creates the Mag-Ferrets. And she spreads it among the levels of the mountain.
