Tick 5.5: LeapsLIGHT has finished looking at Hastani society. The Hastani seem to expand extensively along those belts of land which they are best adapted to. Their settlements tend to be lined with intermittent markets occupied by traveling traders and Hastani merchants.
Mani has created Ichi, an Anansi twisted into a humanoid shape of great power and red glasses. (Mani: -19E) Mani has assigned Ichi to a Section One leadership role.
Mani responds to prayers:
Anansi explorer: "Yes, they would make excellent target practice!"
Mani seems to be orchestrating a magnet coup against the gods.
LIGHT listens to prayers:
Sharim guard: <The beastmen aren't attacking nearly as often>
Settled Maisse: "When will the next tournament be?"
Hastani farmer: "What if you could smite the ground for miles around to plow it?"
On the LIGHT's urging, a number of Sharim have turned to a nomadic life, wandering the wilds and appreciating its beauty and chasing the LIGHT from near the ground in a futile quest to outrun the sunset.
The LIGHT has encouraged temple stewards to expand the scope of temples of LIGHT to be places of learning and knowledge.
Sadiq has created more Ishim. (Sadiq: -8E) Sadiq's brief investigation of the Djinnmarket trash reveals that it came from somewhere around the peak of the mountain, judging from the bloating and general dryness.
Sadiq responds to his friends' prayers:
Ishim administrator: "Thank you, Friend!"
Sharim scribe: <Our writing techniques disintegrate their light-soaking paper, but we will ask nonetheless>
Scorim engineer: "But we can make better farms! That don't get watered with salt!"
Death has wisely begun conspiring to destroy all magnets following their dastardly deeds and attempted deicide. Landria sides with the magnets.
The PRC have begun searching deeper in the wilds for more monoliths to transcribe. Landria helps with developing leyline trains, hopefully securing them against potential Scorim and other anti-magic saboteurs.
Landria has created another unit or so of Terminae. (Landria: -6E) Landria has also taught the Terminae about gunpowder grain sizes and their necromancers more about anatomy. Landria continues to cheer technological progress among the Anansi and Shimmerhands.
Katzerie has appeared to the Dagomoths, requesting volunteers for uplift. A skilled-sounding mage has come up, and Katzerie has invested 6E in the mage toward becoming Illuminatus Luna Lepidoptera.
Frami has taught the Hyrrans, who bathe in lava, about hydraulics. Frami has taught the Hyrrans to also dig fantastic magma ducts that manage to keep the magma hot to light their galleries. Frami has also taught the Hyrrans about smelting technology. Frami has taught all the Frami-aligned races about book technology. Even the Hyrrans, around whom paper spontaneously combusts.
Frami has created more Hyrran in the lava caves and more Nautils in Typhonum. (Frami: -8E).
Gandtrael has created more Gandtraelites. (Gandtrael: -3E) Gandtrael has also encouraged leyline development in Grataca and enclaves for mages in Grataca. Gandtrael has created some Teletal near Grataca. (Gandtrael: -1E)
In addition to the Wstfgl-as-moon idea backed by Landria and Wstfgl, Katzerie has put forward a two-moon solution, in which two out of phase moons of different periods align once every twelve years.
Xislo has praised the Blue/White school for their development of mana wells but criticizes their focus on impractical technology not useful for the common man, directing their attention instead toward animal-related wards, long-lasting heat/cold enchantments, portable weight reduction enchantments, and water-purifying enchantments and maybe golem Cervantes, flying transportation, and enchanted clothing.
Sadiq has ordered that leyline wells be harvested by Jannah-based companies, hiring Blue/White mages for the purpose of building more and allowing employment drawn from locals. They are intended to power Jannah arcano-trains, making sure to design mana batteries first.
Sadiq has given Jannah intellectuals bucketloads of mana for research and arranged for the Scorim to begin producing weapons and maintaining an armory. Sadiq also encourages industry in general.
Sadiq has created the ironclad
I Dare You, powered by Sharim and armed with Scorim technology, thus dispelling the myth that water can't float steel plates. The Sharim in general have been encouraged to use their magical talents to aid the state.
The Sharim indicate that they do reproduce already.
Sadiq has also started a campaign promoting multiculturalism (leaving out the nasty Chaos Slaughterers, who are themselves to be slaughtered). Some have, with some prompting, started up outposts along the coast and along the river so as to help guard Jannah and increase the flow of trade.
Captain Praven responds to the anchor:
Anchor: <...>
The Molski saboteur and accomplice has been graciously released for now, probably because it must have been the nefarious magnetic anchor that initated the sabotage.
The Molski Pirates and their non-Molski associates are far more organized now. This has the slight problem that overseas trade (but not overland trade) has declined significantly.
Wstfgl has made the Great Dreaming occasionally and briefly accessible to mortals, especially the Dream-Feeders. (Wstfgl: -3E)
An Anansi magician has been banished from an ongoing magic show in an Anansi town to the town square of the same Anansi town.
Gandtrael has possibly revealed the existence of a rogue cabal of gods controlling everything from the shadows.
