Tick 30.0: The Sea withinLandria has taught the Scorim of video recording and less-mechanical computers.
Landria has introduced hot air balloons and improved surgery to the rest of the races. Demand for Saland skyrockets, and the Anansi report dwindling reserves.
Terminae win beast-taming/control
Back at the Pyramid of Wonder, a Gandtraelite soothesinger has won the Magic Combat portion, an Art3 delver has won the Spell Invention portion, a Terminae summoner has won the Spell Knowledge portion, and a Mongrel tamer has won the Magic Beast portion. The soothesinger wishes for telepathy, the delver wishes for a sky-rock, the summoner wishes for a tome of dark necromantic lore, and the tamer wishes for a sled and wild beasts to train to pull it. The rush trains and balloons are congested as members of the audience return to their distant homelands.
Kriege has promoted the Mongrels to Elite. (Kriege: -11E) Kriege has directed the construction of assorted boats and water transport.
Kriege listens to prayers:
Mongrel boatwright: "Shine-shine not float!"
Mongrel raider: "Where go for good loot?"
Mongrel tamer: "Look at fun sled pull beasts!"
To celebrate entering the Age of Sail, Captain Praven has deicided on a massive raid on Pirate Hunters and coastal settlements everywhere! Captain Praven blesses his grand fleet, greatly empowering it. (Captain Praven: -45E) Zenrach offers to help Praven in exchange for the Essence used and Four's head if it manages to break, which Wstfgl dismisses. Praven shakes, accepting the deal and the assistance. Landria and Wstfgl warn everyone about the impending, much worse pirate attack.
Zenrach has created the Chaos Cannon, a Glorious-tier Ideal cannon with potential for godslaying! (Zenrach: -137E) Zenrach has given the Chaos Cannon to Praven, mounting it on the
Ebrius Praedonus. It is hoped that a pirate will keep his word, as Fortuna hints
Kriege has joined with Praven!.
Captain Praven also creates more Molski. (Captain Praven: -9E)
Mumuski has created more Zwerge and instructed them in the safe, sanitary construction of hill houses for advance warning. (Mumuski: -24E)
Ketrumuski remains too difficult for mortals, with upwards of two entire units of Musik warriors filling its halls, hampering progress.
The choir invisible begins tuning its instruments in preparation for Praven's imminent invasions.
Mani has attempted to create Four but cannot do so without a significant chance of dying, suspending this action.
Visalash has created the Omser, which can grant modst magical power in exchange for aggreeing to magically binding contracts. (Visalash: -9E) They have begun offering aid for the consequences of the pirate raids in exchange for accepting technology.
Fortuna provides a 2E Luck blessing for mortals caught in the fighting between Praven and other forces.
Sadiq has eaten a pie.
Xislo has created the Arcane Spire, a floating, city-sized fortress powered by magic and defined as the only thing able to harness a significant amount of the mana flowing from the leyline fountain at the top of the Mountain. (Xislo: -50E) Something other than gravity is strongly tugging it downwards to the base of the Mountain, making it more accessible to the coastal races around the Great Ocean.
Gandtrael has started an assortment of monastery orders all over the place for mechanics, herbalists, artists, healers, mages, builders, and Harmon-Ra gardeners, encouraging membership and helping with construction. (Gandtrael: -20E)
Death has returned, inexplicably wearing something pink and frilly and carrying a strong god-smell.
The raids have started! Praven steers the Navy toward a notorious Pirate Hunter base and faces heavy resistance, with massive metal rods punching through their hulls! Numerous ships are lost or boarded by swarms of Nautils, but with a mere shot of pirate from the Chaos Cannon, the Pirate Hunters' headquarters collapses, erased from reality. Demoralized yet determined, the Pirate Hunters continue their onslaught and are rewarded for their effort when a massive tree appears, blasting away numerous Pravanese ships effortlessly! The pirates fire on the massive tree endlessly to little effect, until the mages begin blasting it, attempting to incinerate it. Swarms of strange figures seem to be dislodged by their attacks and engage the pirates, with great losses on both sides! Suddenly, a fresh horde of Arani and beastmen appear on board the
Ebrius Praedonus, blocking off access to the weapons and massing around Praven! Additionally, shots of concentrated elemental energy emerge from the Arcane Spire, tearing apart many Pravanese ships! Captain Praven seems unworried by this turn of events, and the boarders are soon overwhelmed by the legions of dead pirates, most forced to jump off to their deaths. Unexpectedly, roots suddenly sprout from many Navy ships as they turn into trees, soon crashing into the earth and sea, which has become more and more rough over the course of the fight. Fires erupt everywhere, both on the giant tree and on the overall mostly unharmed Pravanese Navy. Seeing the much-diminished resistance from the giant tree and the Framian defender, Praven directs the Navy to make a landing, pillage the nearby settlements, burn them, and repeat for more than just Framian settlements. The Pravanese Navy seems to be heading up, possibly to Jannah and more, its strength mostly intact...
Elsewhere, well away from the fight, numerous trade ships suddenly sink with no explanation.
