It's only a matter of time before they finish getting killed off and besides, I've just been placed under a lot of restrictions that'll make it unenjoyable to play. Plus almost everything I've worked on since the start of the game has either been taken or destroyed so there's really no incentive for me to keep playing.

You have thoroughly lost for the looks of it, people will stop killing your races because of that. If something has been taken, you can always take it back, and restrictions can be worked around and removed. That wouldn't stop Captain Praven from trying to break them. If Death is put in Chains, Captain Praven will most likely do all he can to avenge his imprisonment, he's a God of Piracy, ignoring a God being shackled in private would've been poor Roleplaying on my part.

This is just fucking insulting. I lost nearly everything I ever had and even more my ability to get it back. I'm getting slandered in IC and can't defend myself because it would be OOC. Any attempt by myself to rise back up will quickly get shot down by my rivals with no way to stop it. I HAVE LOST. If You feel that it's that bad, You could always start from scratch with different Spheres. Plague, War, and Agony have all been used before in Ye Gods, and might allow a semblance of revenge.

And what have you lost? A couple units of a basic race you didn't put any thought into? A couple of artifacts made with stolen essence? If your rivals are leaving you alive, you have plenty of chances to build yourself up. You just don't want to.

Being unable to defend yourself IC is your own fault. Which isn't to say it's not unfair, but there's no reason for our gods to stop, either, and you made the decision of what your gods personality would be like. It's hard to feel sympathy when you chose to do this; and it's a perfectly valid choice of personality, but nonetheless.

I can see a lot you could do, really. Diplomacy, first off, apologizing for killing people's stuff that you didn't intend to, making any sort of reparations of your own volition, making a new god...
