I do believe the narrative has shifted as if its the character herself speaking, or y'know, thinking. That was my impression anyway when I came upon Mr. Beardsly--we may be less than 13 years old, too.
So I'm under the impression that we're not just suggestors, but THOUGHTS!
I mean putting it into perspective, our bolded lines do have a semblance of being in parallel with how one thinks with themself, so it's...quite subtle and creative.
Try to remember why we're here. Did our parents say anything about this?
Also this imaginary friend is curious about you, because she is forgetful! Who are you?
