With the others asleep and no one visible, you go back and steal the man's knife. Well, it's not technically stealing if he's dead...oh whatever. You've got a knife now. It adds 2 damage on any attack using it.

As the sun rises in a direction assumed to be east, the world is once again thrown into light. The guards do their daily sweep, and find the dead man behind the tavern. With no one coming forward and saying they saw him die, it is written off as a drunk stumbling around in the dark and falling over. What makes a few suspicious, however, is the fact that there is a new group of people in town, his knife is missing, and he appears to have been hit in the face.
Each of you wake up, and the boy in Quell's room is awake before anyone else. The bottom half of the tavern sounds almost entirely silent, as most people eat in the safety of their own houses. They will still have a breakfast prepared for anyone that wanders in, however.

The entire crew meets up outside the tavern, and they all agree to go to the castle. The beggar boy comes along as a translator, as he somehow understands the languages everyone is speaking as well. After some walking, the sun has risen a bit higher above the horizon, and the crew has showed up at the castle gate. They're instantly noticed as non-locals by the guards though, and stopped. They're asked what they're doing here, and why they've decided to come to the castle. After all, you never know what kind of weirdos might just waltz on in.

Jeremmy waits pensively.

Quell takes one step forward and proclaims bombastically as his garb flares in the wind: "Is my status not obvious enough? I come to speak with the lord of this castle, and bring to him news that a great evil is underfoot! These humble servants are my bodyguards."

While the guards are distracted by the loud one, Nix sneaks past the guards.
