Niigata, peddler's stall

Hideki makes his way through the busy market, munching on his grilled fish. Fishmongers and vegetable salesmen line the street, and Hideki has to navigate a maze of people just to make some headway. After some wandering and finishing his fish, he comes upon a peddler's stall.

The peddler has a cart which seems full of random odds and ends. In front of it he has laid out a brown carpet with some choice wares on them. Tea sets, garden implements, jewelry, you name it. The man himself is dressed in white and brown robes, with a rather odd looking conical hat. He welcomes Hideki and invites him to take a look at his wares and tell him if he's looking for anything specific. Hideki asks about selling some of his stuff. He says he'll give Hideki 10 silver mon for the wakizashi, and 16 silver mon for the katana.

While haggling with the peddler, Hideki overhears two old ladies in kimonos talking at the vegetable stand opposite from the peddler.

"Did you hear? Another trade caravan was attacked off the western road."
"No way. that's what, the third one this month?"
"Fourth, if you count those bandits that were killed."
"Bah, who counts them for anything. Still, who could do such a thing."
"My brother in law says it's a demon."
"Your brother in law always says it's a demon. Like when he had intestinal problems."
"Well...true. Maybe it's just a bunch of bandits or vigilantes after all."

To keep things simple, I'm going to go with the good old rpg money system. So 100 copper mon is 1 silver mon. And 100 silver mon is 1 gold mon.

+1 Or any sort of herbal/medicinal shops, they'll at least have ingredients to craft poison.

Also, buy the wakizashi.

Uh, I think we just sold the katana and wakizashi and we have 26 silver mon and a few copper mon.

You didn't sell aything yet. I just told you what he's be willing to buy and for how much, since nobody put in an action to actually sell anything yet.

Keep it.  Back up weapon's a back up weapon, plus it's smaller size makes it more concealable.

Can I just say that I find it funny how this suggestion game is basically a character shared between 2 people so far? I wonder if anyone else even reads this.

I really wish there was a way to flag certain threads and basically advertise them, there's a really good one where I'm pretty much the only one posting called Banners of Bleeding Fist, it's also story driven, nice Conan the Barbarian feel.

I've noticed that with suggestion games, the more detailed and complex, as well as niche, they are, the less accessible they feel.  Such a shame.
