If you engrave individual bedrooms with 1-thick walls, it is highly likely the engraver will engrave both walls while standing inside one.

As a result, you can get bedrooms where half of them are higher quality level than the other. The engraving is on one side only.

That makes no sense. The tiles... They are one-all sided. You can only get one engraving on a wall. And you can see them from all sides!

makes no sense but true all the same, when the tile is engraved it is given a facing based on the direction the engraver was working from when making the engraving, this is most apparent when designating a large number of bedrooms with single tile thick walls, some rooms will have substantially higher quality levels than others due to this behavior, just as Fleeting Frames indicated.
