Probably because of the surreal nature? It is geometric, but not perfectly so. It is not a generic cube, but instead a cuboid. Transparent cuboids with no discernible function are rare in nature, while transparent cubes/complex regular geometric shapes are more common, at least in art.

In truth I was drawing a bottle and got lazy.
