Reinstate "Official Land"

I was given the option to promote a baron, but I accidentally hit escape after "selecting" the dwarf. Is there any way to change this during the next liaison visit or with DFhack? Thank you.

You should be asked again each time the liaison visits. You will just have to wait a year.

I could not find anything viable via search, so I'll just bump this thread.

I had a baron in my fortress, but he died in battle. Nobody inhereted the title in my fortress and the position of baron is completely absent on my "nobles" screen.
BUT, the baron consort carried a child, it is 2 years old now.
IN ADDITION, the fortress was recently promoted to duchy.

What awaits me with this nobles situation?
Will the child inherit the title when it grows up? Did a distant member of the family inherit the title outside my fortress?
Or will I never see another noble here?
