Settlement Questions...
« on: April 11, 2008, 02:24:00 pm »

Lulz, is it taboo to settle in a human town? >.>

Will they get attacked by gobbies n' such?

Would the townspeople assist me in fighting gobbies n' such?

There any pros/cons to settling in an established town?

they are full of things that you can claim and sell. And you can demolish all their buildings for wood.

the humans just mill around aimlessly though

The main downside will most likely be that your FPS will plummet because of the huge amount of humans.

They'll help detect goblin ambushes and even try fighting them off for you.

You can also claim the humans' food and eat it without consequence, but it'll be [f]orbidden when you first arrive.

I wonder if you can farm humans.  You know, lock them all in a single cage and harvest the offspring.

I can't believe I'm thinking of that.

The long-term effects of DF immersion!

...We probably shouldn't publicise that part.

I don't think they'll procreate unless they are married. Intelligent creatures have to be wed in order to have offspring.
