Here's second update.
(player - Alexander Shigol, and it's his drawing)

Soon after, the stranger came into the castle of Odur okir's clan. He was friendly and sociable, and made friends at once with the leader of the fortress. Together they sang, danced and told stories and poems into the night.
But...
he was not what he seemed from the outset. During the dinner, the expedition leader was stabbed in the ribs. Turning, he saw with horror impassive face of his new friend. Bleeding, he ran away, knocking over tables and crushing tucked cats. The killer followed at his heels. He overtook him in the corridor, where, after a brief struggle, he cut his throat. Taking the leader's skull as evidence, the killer escaped from the fort ...

I think that you should have the save for a week or two, or until you can't be bothered any more.
Also, are there any large mountains? They are vital to any dwarven power struggle...

It was stated that the first guy stopped due to a low power netbook.  As something similar wasn't listed for the second guy, I'd say it's probably still his turn.

Ooo, I like that drawing.

Also, I do agree that there should be a set of rules or something in the OP. I.e time limit for turns and such - maximum 1-2 weeks like most other succession games, also a turnlist.

Sorry, but one or two weeks - is too long for this sucession game. Time limit is about one day now, two for plyers who want to built megaproject. Here are about 15-20 players in turnlist, but nevertheless, you can take turn in intervals between our turns. So, the rule is, that you claim the save IN THE MOMENT then you can play 3-4 hours non-stop.
This game is fast, yes, it is not always convenient for everyone, but it's really make sense, cause of:
- you mostly play as adventurer or young, new fortress, so FPS will be high, you can do everythink you want really fast
-more players end turns, more mikro-events happenend, more possiblity to the next to to interact with other players characters, and on the other hand, if fortress live too long(for example one player play ten years in his fortress, it's the time that i can simple play in one week) - more chanses that most part of other-players characters eventually die in random situations without any  interact with others.

Not now, but after end of every player in basic turnlist - yes. So, at 17-18 GMT, i think, it would be free, and u will be able to claim it.

What version?

The LNP 43.03 is released, and so I am playing DF again.

I have a few ideas, and I will play to make a castles:

Glacier with evil/re-animating biome?
- Nightwatch, Castle Black, all males only.
- Craster Keep, 1 male, all females, male babies are sacrificed.

Are there an island-ish embark spots?
- Ironborn, we do not sow (no farm plant), all trades are raided (seized)

I think a saw a df-map/world gen for Westeros, I wonder if the seeds/map export will work on the latest version, maybe even to the x64 version.

edit, found it.  I can't validate (at work atm) if the link is current.

Here's a link to a WorldGen setting for Westeros: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16544039/Westeros.txt

Just copy/paste that text into the data/init/world_gen.txt file (using the "Medium World" values), and you should be able to start up a GoT world.

In fact, I think I'll check that out myself... Seems like it's only the continent to the East of the Narrow Sea.

Looking forward to reading your story.
