MDF 2.6.0.0

I have built an archaeologist's workshop and assigned a dwarf the milling labor, as there is no labor called "archaeology" that I can find and I seem to recall that milling was remapped to archaeology.

The dwarf is idle.  The workshop shows jobs pending.

What am I doing wrong?

Wait, what version?  I remember a series 2a through 2i or so from ~2013.  If you're really running such an old legacy version, you'll most likely have to investigate yourself by search (find in files) the name of the reaction with Textpad, Notepad++, grep, etc.

maybe you reversed order of digits -- i do have a copy of "6.2", and yes, archaeology was MILLING.

So something else is probably wrong that we can't diagnose with available information.  (bad stockpile links, burrows, broken ramps, stone marked economic, the old custom reaction pathfinding bug)

I downloaded it last week.  The filename is "Masterwork V1.08(40.06)"  The About says "2.6.0.0"  The accompanying DF has a 2016 copyright, and the accompanying DFHack is 0.42.06-r1.

Oh, OK, that's the latest MDF v1.08.  I don't know what is 2.6.0.0 -- maybe that's the version of the launcher interface?  Anyway, since that's the latest i can grep it for you, and it's CUTGEM.

There's no more re-purposed professions in the new version, which hews a bit closer to vanilla.

Ah, I understand.

The about is about the GUI. I should really delete that, its a left-over from the old mod.

There are no changed labors anymore, milling is milling, all old stuff is gone.

Since fossils are actually gems (at least in the code), the archeologist uses gemcutting as skill.
