Isla glances at Hecate's mug of coffee, and lets out an approving "Hmm," before smirking very slightly and raising her own mug in a vaguely cheers-like gesture, then to her own lips.

"Whoa there, tiger, save some of that jerky for us."
"Then grab some food. No one is going to stop you." Arane replies hastily before turning her attention back to buffet. A faint grumble from her stomach can be heard.

Hecate returns the gesture, drinking her own cup.

Edwinn frowned for a moment, then shrugged.

"Well, I suppose it's time for this conversation to shift places, to that little snack table over there."

Edwinn happiliy walked over to the table, took a bite of jerky, and began devouring whatever cheap pastries were to be found, politely leaving the last few for others to eat.

"Hope they don't mind crumbs."

Edwinn turned toward Sasaki Nobanuga

"Not much of a talker, are ya? Or am I misinterpreting that statement?"

"No, I like to talk, but my ears are sensitive enough to make it painful to do so sometimes. Hence the headphones; they're noise canceling."

Nobunaga walks over to the lunch table, and after a longing glance at the meat, elects to grab a couple vegetarian snacks instead.

"Oh jeez, am I late?" Rustle Wilson appears before everyone like he had just escaped the clutches of an American Eagle catalog. He's adorned with a blue butt-down and brown khakis, which you have to admit stylistically clash with his fresh white Adidas. A golden cross is laced from his neck. His hair is curly, skin caramel, and all of these factors combined to make him stupidly photogenic. Not necessarily attractive, but a picture of him from any angle could probably used on the front of a recruit pamphlet of a college.

"Is this the place?"

The blue dragon tilts her head to inspect the sign, the silver spots on her head glinting. She walks to the side of the room and prepare for a long wait.
Arane admires the dragon secretly in her thoughts, "Wow! A blue dragon.... I haven't seen one of those before in my entire life," Her eyes are glinting with curiosity of a child.

Between bites of a snack-sized cinnamon roll, Edwinn turns away from the table and addresses everyone in the room.

"Well, I know I kind of advised against it, but I think introductions would be a good idea to pass the time. Just, you know, your name and maybe a quick story of how you ended up coming to voidlight. If that fails, I know some icebreakers. So, any volunteers to start?"

After no one speaks immediately, the blonde teenager raises his hand for a moment before letting it drop and speaking. "Sasaki Nobunaga. I came here to work on my magic and hopefully find a proper Taoist mentor instead of trying to study on my own."

Rustle waves, "Hey guys, I'm Rustle Wilson; Collegiate School, Richmond Virginia. I was getting recruited by a few schools actually but one night I thought about it real hard and asked God what was the right decision, and He led me to choosing Voidlight. So that's why I'm here. I know it's a Division I school or anything but maybe we can all change that together."

"I understood every word of that."

"I'm Edwinn, I struck out early and spent most of my life on the couch eating and playing video games, and when that got boring I took up the hobbies of cooking, alchemy, a bit of leatherwork, and beating the snot out of random lowlifes. Somewhere along the line, I overheard rumors of a high school where you study magic and fight monsters and stuff like that. Sounded right up my alley, so here I am. Also, I made my own armor; part of it is the jacket on my backpack. It's hard to tell at a glance, but I've sewn a lot of custom-shaped plates of boiled leather on there, so it's actually pretty good armor.

"Sports?  I'm surprised...

I already said, but I'm Nia Belden.  I'm here because, well, healers are always useful in a warzone..."

"I am Isla Dubh. I was rescued from the wizard tower where I was created, and ended up living at this academy." She takes a sip of her coffee. "And from what I'm told by some of the staff, apparently the fact that I am naturally armored and the fact that I can shoot magical beams make me an asset, so it all works out."
