Sounds like a plan, Russ. Can I call you Russ? While we're making potential worst-case-scenario preparations, I'm going to don my armor.

Edwinn shoves the entire rest of his sandwich into his mouth to free his hands, then sets his backpack down and unties the jacket from it. The jacket hits the ground with a clatter, and it moves as though parts of it are rigid. From the backpack, Edwinn produces a pair of plain, thick pants which move similarly, and begins putting both on over his clothes.

[TCM]

"You can call me Russ. In fact, call me DangerRuss. Actually, I take that back."

Edwinn's voice is remarkably clear, despite the huge mouthful.
"You sure? DangerRuss is an awesome nickname."

Edwinn is struggling to get the pants on over his shoes.

[Chevaleresse]

"I see." He looks questioningly at Edwinn's struggles.

Nia fiddles with the tapes wrapped around her palms.

[Powder Miner]

Isla nods at Rustle, and takes the moment to observe him closely. "Interesting..."

[TCM]

"I'm willing to risk it all, as long as I have His protection. And I can fight, but pure might is not the only way to win battles."

[Chevaleresse]

Nobunaga rolls his eyes slightly at Rustle's comment, though it's hard to see behind the glowing array in front of him.

[TCM]

"He will always be with me though, even through the Valley of Death."

Edwinn has finished putting on his armor. The rigid plates of boiled leather are shining slightly, making them much more visible.

"If you ask me, even if "He" gives you all the support He can, it is better to rely on one's own strength, skill and intellect than that of someone else."

Edwinn removes a pair of thick leather gloves and a hairtie from his backpack, and begins tying his hair back in a ponytail.

[Powder Miner]

"If I do end up assigning you as the "king", you can be assured to have my protection; I am the kingside Bishop and it is my duty to stand by the king's side just as it is to provide offense."

[Chevaleresse]

"You have fun with Him, Rustle." The derisive note in his voice is difficult to miss, though Nobunaga is doing his best to suppress it.

"Ah, alright, my name is Isla Dubh. I come from northern Scotland."

"It's nice to meet you Isla," Rustle holds out his open right palm to shake her hand, "Could I ask you what your denomination is?"
