New update, V1.09!

Notes: This is the 43.03 update. Dfhack included, although no TWBT yet. Otherwise I did some bugfixes and balancing, but not everything from the list yet. Mostly about the new human mode.

I also included a manual for the humans. And I added Embark-profiles.

Screenshots: Miguel Regogon (http://miguelregodon.deviantart.com/) allowed me to use some of his portraits here, so I might add some updated art-pieces soon. He does pretty awesome work and is usually doing monsters for the game Pathfinder.

Features & Balancing:
- Added 12 embark profiles for Dwarves, Kobolds and Humans.
- Added new sprites for Fortress Defense creatures.
- Aged wines&seeds no longer available at embark&caravans.
- Aged wines now have proper value.
- Humans have access to Metallurgist and alloy reactions like bronze and pig iron.
- Humans have access to Smelter reactions like bituminous/lignite coal smelting.
- Human Ore Merchant can now buy/sell lignite and bituminous coal.
- Human Buy-Bullets reaction fixed.
- Human guild-member migrants are twice as rare.
- Removed 'liquid fire' extract from fire snakes. (caused rare burning caravans)
- Enabled vanilla arena map.

Succubus Features & Balancing, by Boltgun:
- Black roses can now be brewed.
- Frog Demons can now open doors.
- Jobs with clouds of smoke (Summoning Portal, Den of Iniquity) no longer destroy buildings.
- You can make stone tablets or slip at the craft workshop for writing.
- Migrating or bought demons will properly perform labors or join the military 1 to 3 days after their arrival.

Future plans: Lots to do, tilesets, more manual, ingame help, bugfixes, balancing, necromancers, goblins, elves, scripts, new workshops for most modes... I have my hands full. ;)

Community feedback: No new poll this week, but three succession forts at the moment. Please come by and claim a unit or try it for a turn. :)

Because its a dfhack feature. There should be documentation in the dfhack thread, but I'll add something in future.

Mhm I think Group Size Setting didnīt work anymore I always start with 7 Persons
Last time I checked it worked. It should still work now. If it doesnt, go to the embark selector (before you press 'e' to embark) and open dfhack, type "dwarves #" with the number you want.

Is this some kinda mistake or is there actually a trojan in the files? I mean, it probably isn't but it should probably be checked out.

Probably a false positive. One of the utilities gets reported here sometimes showing as a trojan due to the way it reads DF's memory

That happens since I added DFtool. I might as well remove it again, if people get so many false positives. In essence it is a hacking tool, it interferes with the df.exe.

When using the pre-set settings from the Masterwork Launcher, I receive the following errors in dfhack:

Plugin automaterial was not built for this version of DFHack.
Plugin: 0.43.03-alpha1, DFHACK: 043.03.r1
Plugin mousequery was not built for this version of DFHack.
Plugin: 0.43.03-alpha1, DFHACK: 043.03.r1
Plugin resume was not built for this version of DFHack.
Plugin: 0.43.03-alpha1, DFHACK: 043.03.r1
Plugin twbt was not built for this version of DFHack.
Plugin: 0.43.03-alpha1, DFHACK: 043.03.r1
Cannot enable plugin: automaterial
Cannot enable plugin: mousequery
Cannot enable plugin: resume
multilevel is not a recognized command.

If I switch the setting for Print Mode to 2D from Twext-will-be-text, the only error I receive is that twbt is not recognized.  The other plugins receive no errors.  Various different plugins will not initialize depending on the change to the Print Mode.

Also, the Masterwork font does not seem to work.  Switching between default and Masterwork only allows the default font to show.

This is with a fresh install of Masterwork 1.09.  Deleting the download and folder and re-installing brings up the same errors.

Thats normal. As I said, TWBT not included yet.

Edit: Mifki released an update, here the download https://github.com/mifki/df-twbt/releases/download/v5.65/twbt-5.65-win.zip

Extract and copy into dwarffortress/hack/plugins, replace all. Should be 4 files, twbt, mousequery, resume and automaterial.

For everyone, there are two folders which unzip.  The files to update are contained in the folder "0.43.03-r1."

I'll second Meph's encouragement to take Romomon out for a spin if you're up for a succession game turn  8)  There are already at least 2 orc, 2 dwarf, and... some unknown number of succubi forts in the world to un-retire; or start a new site, or take an adventure.

Have no way to change the number of the Group Size. Reinstalled the files more then ones, try it as humans and dwarf. Try it with dfHack didnīt work. Figuered out that the change of embarking points does not work too.
