Question about a leather armor order
« on: July 08, 2016, 11:28:28 am »

Hi!

I'm using 43.03, and I just used the manager to queue "make leather armor (135)".  I just got the notice "Make leather armor (135) has been completed."  However, there are only 66 suits of leather armor in my inventory (the rest is imported clothing, other than 4 fort-made dresses), and there is NO other leather clothing.

What happened?

Note: because of a bug (which was resolved for 43.04) I only had ONE manager job for the armor, so that's not the problem.

Edit:  I think I found it.  Somehow the armor was getting stored in the refuse pile  ??? and was degrading.  Now the question is, why was it getting put there...

If software was real world, then it'd be something equivalent of hitting a nail with a hammer and having a building collapse on the other side of town.

I assume you've already checked the refuse pile isn't also set to take finished goods or armor, and that they weren't dumped there (in which case they ought to be marked as forbidden, unless the dumping was via a track stop, but then they ought to be hauled to a legitimate stockpile provided one exists)?

It was this, because I while I know refuse piles cause clothing to rot away, I forgot that armor is "clothing."  It's been fixed now.
