If Trump sticks to his promises (which admittedly is very doubtful) he's going to nominate hyper-conservative justices who will overturn gay marriage.
This is what bothers me when people say that Trump is a complete retard unfit to be a president. I mean, yeah, from moral point of view, proably, but idiots simply aren't millionaries (except the cases when the idiots live off someone smart that has money, Paris Hilton or something). The fact that he went bankrupt few times and still has shitton of money makes me thing that he might actually really know what he's doing.
Paris Hilton is a successful entrepreneur and has seen a better return on her money than Trump has.

Proving that visably stupid people may actually be playing down their intelligence.
Trump won with almost EVERY news, gambling and political giant going against him.
He is quite intelligent.

Go to sleep: "At least he won the popular vote, so at least our system functioned this time."
Wake up: "MOTHERFUCKERRRR"

And yet is very rich and successful.
Every entrepreneur has more failures than successes, it's called practice and experimentation.

Trump has lost money since his inheritance.  His businesses have gone bankrupt multiple times, he chronically doesn't pay employees or his debts (see: those infamous kids who sang the song turning around and threatening to sue because they weren't paid).  Most of those towers with his name on them aren't owned by him, they pay him to use his brand that he built on TV and movies.  When confronted with all that he brought up 4 products (Trump steaks, water, wine, and his Trump towers) literally all of which are either out of business, or not owned by him (with the exception of I think one or two towers).  He's a rich boy reality TV star who likes to play businessman in his spare time.  He's no more a businessman than your average actor or celebrity.  The only differences are that Trump started with more money and grew his inheritance more slowly (read: not at all), and that for Trump the idea that he is a businessman is part of his brand unlike say Paris Hilton or the Kardasians even tho those people are both far more successful businessmen than Trump is.

Hell, the dude is on trial right now for running a "business university" that is a straight up scam.

Yeah whatever "facts" 9_9

Guess its ok for you to insult people, but god help yah if anything gets thrown back at you.

Do you have anything to actually say other than "neener neener?" If you're just here to do a victory lap say so, so we can ignore you.

As for how did Trump get so successful.....you all realize he inherited the majority of his wealth from his father and most of his money comes from licensing his name right?
And his name is licensable because?
Leave the misinformation at the door.  :-\

Because he has money and puts his name on stuff in giant fucking gold letters? It's not rocket science. It's just marketing.

No. The electorate that voted for him is just that desperate and gullible. He literally just says "it's going to be great" and people believe him. No facts, no plan, no grounding. Just hype. So be proud of that.

Word is he has immunity from virtually everything now that he's president. You'd have to impeach him first for anything short of murder to be brought against him.

It is honestly weird to me that people call upon his business experience as a reason why he might be competent.

Because he isn't good at business... and is also extremely immoral as a businessman as well.

That's because Trump's business strategy is to slide himself into an organization as a hype man and cannibalize it for his own benefit, then drop the whole thing once he needs to jump ship.

This man is now functionally in charge of the United States government.
Sucks for everyone else, not him. Egoistical empathyless vermin, not stupid.

He managed to not blow the money completly, profits from something that needs no real imput from him apart from being himself - dude is a fucking genius, I want his job.

He knows how to trick the system in his favour, that's for sure, but i wouldn't call him a successful CEO. a successful business man, sure, but that's different.

Bold: my point
The rest, just sour grapes. It really speaks of how out of touch some one could be when they thumb their noses at others and dismissively disregards their lives and opinions based of a (arguably misplaced) sense of superiority.
Its just plain arrogant snobbery.
They are Americans, we are one people. Lets act like it.

I mean, I detest the man, but he did hit on an excellent strategy. Whether he did it by skill is another matter, but... it's not a pure dice throw that elected him.

See, he's gotta be intelligent if he can beat the house!

What do you mean, he was the house?

he's not the president yet

i don't know if there's been a precedent set for if the president elect is sentenced to jail, but it's still very possible for him to be tried and found guilty, but only have to pay a (relatively) small fine

Trump was basically born into the most favourable conditions you can have as a CEO

A dad with hundreds of millions of dollars, a huge network and ample opportunities to get management positions.

He would have had to be EXTREMELY incompetent to mess that up.

When you look at the actual assets he started with and how they grew Trump has done remarkably average.
