I can't believe it.

People are going to die. People I've talked to are going to die. I can't sleep for crying out of anger and I won't even nave the worst of it. Is this what I tell my damn grandchildren? Is This what I get to see in my life? And I couldn't even change anything, only watch.

In the short term, at least. Maybe. Next year's where the policy starts gearing up to kill our fellow americans, unless something really goddamn unusual happens. Hopefully enough people care about the folks GOP policies will fuck over to keep them from getting screwed.

That is a good thing overall. Even if the final tallies are close enough that it looks like an error could change the result, a repeat of 2000 would probably hurt the democratic party in 2018 and 2020. If Senate Democrats are smart enough to only filibuster when it is really important, there is an excellent chance to recover ground then.
