You seem to be misunderstand something here, Max. My problem is the deletion of her emails after being asked for them. Had she done it before that, it would be irrelevant and not a problem from my perspective, but timing makes all the difference.

... you do realize the emails that were deleted were ordered to be so prior to the subpoena, right? By several months. The only reason they got deleted during it is because the person supposed to be handling it procrastinated like an idiot.

I mean, I realize reality and facts mean less than nothing to you when it comes to clinton, and repeating lies is how you live your life in this thread, but still. The time of the deletion wasn't on her. The people that investigated her have come out saying there is no evidence she tried to conceal information from the probe for a reason. Probably a number of them, really, considering the whole "is their job" thing.

If, having logged out of the corporate account (or using a different tab/interface) to use my presumably work-permitted personal email/whatever account on company time, I instead privately discuss with @JoeJoeBaby and @FrancisTheOrc the upcoming evening schedule of bacchanalian festivities I might find myself easily seaguing into "...which means I'll need those Pre-TPS Collation Forms filled in at least an hour earlier than usual, so I can run the numbers in time to get out of the door. And is there any way you can get the Slough office to commit to their fourth-quarter figures on time, for once?"

Oh dear. So much for separation of business and personal, all the best will in the world. There are coping strategies (I don't socialise with my colleagues, in real life!) but I also make a conscious effort to never mention current professional issues upon forums such as these and don't try to indocterinate my cubicle-neighbours with the finer details of setting up an obsidian farm. More than the once, at least. Twice, at a push. The third time was forgetfulness and the fourth was because they were eavesdropping on a conversation with the security guard. I think the fifth was during Sam's Birthday Bar Crawl, in the Octopus's Arms, was probably drowned out by the loud music, hence why the sixth time was whilst stumbling over to the Hydra's Heads, or maybe it was the Elephant And Other Elephant. Whichever was having the '70s Retro evening...

I almost looked at something that I don't think I'd ever have been able to live down. I actually was going to look at it, but some deeper sense of self-respect made me want to have some sense of plausible deniability. I was just like "Really, misko27? [DATA EXPUNGED]? No. That's, that's too far." And shit it was pretty fucking bad. I'm glad that if I ever have to answer for myself the end of time, I'll be able to say "Well you know at least I didn't [DATA EXPUNGED]".

Oh that never ends. This was true in 2014 as well. To all our great detriment, it produced this election. Hopefully at least the Republican Party will be too busy ripping itself apart to really focus on the next election quite yet.

Hopefully indeed. It'd be extra nice if they stayed distracted long enough to break down some of the suppression measures they've implemented, among all sorts of other things. One of the most fucked up factoids I've seen this election cycle is that republican measures to screw over minority voting has apparently depressed the black turnout in NC as much as getting hit by the goddamn hurricane. Regions substantially effected by one but not the other had about the same turnout, both notably less than ones with neither. Makes you want to bludgeon the next GOP fuckwit you hear yelling about a rigged election.

Once again, I don't support Trump. It just so happens that I detest him marginally less than I detest Clinton. I'd be dancing for joy if both were locked up for life.

What? How? No, really—which of Clinton's crimes outmatch Trump's myriad horriblenesses, exactly? Trump

• has zero respect for women; see his infamous grabbing comment, his sex tape tweets, and his comments about entering changing rooms (with underaged contestants in them) at beauty pageants. He might even be a rapist.
• is almost certainly racist; see his comments about Mexicans, his mid-late-20th-century housing policies, and his calls to execute black youth who had already been proven innocent.
• does not care about the truth in the slightest, the most recent example being his claims that Obama "screamed at a protester".
• is a corrupt businessman who refuses to pay contractors, uses charity funds to buy portraits, etc.. Do you really think that corruption won't translate to politics.
• will have no idea what he's doing, and consistently refuses to listen to experts. You know how people talk about a "presidential temperament"? What Trump has is basically the exact opposite of that.

I don't know why you hate Clinton so much, but Trump is almost certainly worse in every single category! Emails? Trump lies constantly and habitually. Hawkish? Trump has asked why he can't just nuke people, in addition to generally spouting tough-guy rhetoric. Flip-flopping? Trump doesn't just change his stance on an issue: he pretends he never had the original stance in the first place.

edit: It seems to be that the cracks in the Republican party are manifesting in the state legislatures as well. No surprise there I suppose.

Edit2: Would have been nice if that article also talked about states besides Montana, like, I dunno, Florida, Maine, Oregon (or Washington or California, the west coast is pretty liberal in general).... Michigan....

Fine? Considering it's explicitly been stated as contingent on agreement with russia and syria (and whatever other actors have stake in the issue, probably) to implement, I can't see much to complain about. If it actually got through under the conditions clinton specified, it'd probably even mean relations with russia had improved (/putin was being less of a shit).

And local news sources, TBF. There's usually at least local newspapers to trawl through, and that's about as good as you get without actually being on the ground.
