Red oak would have been better. More culturally common phallic innuendo.

If they're selling 30 rd magazines for 19.95 each, they had better be decorated with gold leaf or something.

Don't think that is such an unusual price here: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/dpms-ar-15-curved-30-round-magazine-223-remington-black-teflon-884451000952.do was $17.95 I think? I saw a couple in a quick check down at like $12.95 and a few at $19.95 so I guess it's mostly convenience pricing.

Well shit, come on guys, Texas is a little too obvious a place to do this in.

Is that for real?

Let's pull Occams Razor here before we we start screaming 'HACK!' here. Could it be a machine malfunction (unlikely given multiple locations)? Could it be a programming error?

It's just as probable that the people couldn't read, I'm a Texan, we r dum, but most likely it's just a malfunction or people fatfingering things.

Did have someone on another forum say they tried to replicate this effect and couldn't get it to work so they changed it back to the vote they wanted to cast and went with it.

It confirms my bias that voting machines in Murrica are cheap crap.  So sure, it could be a malfunction or shitty UI.

Could be false reporting with the intent to stir shit, too. It'd fit the tone of this election :-\

Never trust anything that is not  open source.

Not mainly because of possible foul play, but because it's probably the cheapest crap code that they could get in there.

I like to think Soros could afford to have it display one thing and record another, you don't do voter fraud in a way that makes it obvious to the voter while they're doing it.

There's reports of machines switching votes from Hillary to Trump as well. The lesson that should be taken is that touchscreens are a bad, bad technology and should be banned from existing.

Yeah, they can very well bug out or glitch for various reasons, especially if the code is badly written or something.

Which, given how this is usually a story every election year, seems to be a given.

Of all the things for the US to cheap out on...

Amusingly enough, about two seconds on google will note that soros doesn't appear to be supplying any voting machines for the 2016 election, and apparently never had meaningful stake in the company that people tried to bugger into being a connection to him :P

Actual problem just seems to be somewhat shoddy maintenance and old machines. Probably not surprising considering about half our political machine is basically running on the platform of making the government work worse. Add on the normal shafting given to the budget when the republians have much of any connection to it, and, well...
