Yeah, it's kind of been a meh debate (mainly due to the bad format) and so far, the winner is inconclusive. Though Kaine could have reined in his enthusiasm a bit and done a bit better. Also, no sign of Pence's purpoted 'Biden moment'.

Yeah, they're about as bad at derailing the question as, well, just about any internet forum thread.

I'm pretty sure every democrat in a presidential and veep debate has done so for like the past 12 years.

If anyone was still watching at this point I think it would have been effective when Tim Kaine said "can you defend this?" and Pence looked awkward and changed the subject after a pause.
