In other news, while people in various places were grumpy about the DWS thing, Kaine apparently speech'D his ass off?

A sane reasonable foil to Trump/Pence?

Known for reaching across the aisle?

Sounds good to me.

*yawn*

Safe pick. Boring pick. Pick nobody wanted but nobody can really complain about. Pick that isn't going to draw anymore voters to her but isn't going to force any away either.

Well, apparently republicans have way less of a problem with Kaine than Clinton too.

Yep, my newspaper speculates that they chose him in the hopes of it swinging some republicans towards voting for Clinton.
They also said that 'His impressive speech made Clinton look pale'.

I'll just say I would have voted for that ticket if it were flipped around. Kaine would have probably made a decent president and Clinton could have been a good approximation of a Democrat Cheney.

Whatever happened to the theory of 'vice presidents are chosen for their merit of no one wanting them as president, to prevent assassination'?

I dunno, based on some people's predictions if Trump wins the whole world ends.

Might put a kink in that plan.

No, only the world outside Trump's private beach paradise island.

Funny, the articles I read noted that his speeches, while very good, was also an excellent "second fiddle" speech. As in, he spent his speech making Clinton look good, and did a damn good job of it.

Kaine does not seem like the type from what limited stuff I've seen. Ok with the possibility, but probably not ambitious enough for it. Maybe he'll develop a taste for the Presidency while in office though, who knows.

Well yes, he did sing her high praise and lauded her character indeed. What my newspaper meant is that his charisma overshadowed Clinton, making her look pale in comparison. I admit translating it a bit badly there, sorry.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/tim-kaine-vp-challenge-convention-226125  Warren for VP?

Hopefully they do better than #nevertrump, which never really had much of a change, but given that it's a much bigger share (something like 40/60 with sanders/clinton delegates, not including superdelegates), things will definetly be happening.

Funny that.

And get your MSM filth out of here.  Redstate had the story first.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/tim-kaine-vp-challenge-convention-226125  Warren for VP?

At what point do we start to question if Sanders actively working for Trump to win the presidency so he can run again in 4 years?  He fucked with the first day of the convention already which was only defused with the Schultz resignment.  Now he is fucking with the VP pick.

Wait, seriously? Is he still trying to fight this? That's literally a "forehead in palm, rub your eyebrows, and sigh" type of thing.
