Personally, I'll support Hillary but damn does finding out the inner workings of the whole process annoy me.

... personally, finding out how people react to the inner workings of this stuff is starting to get a little depressing. It didn't quite register how painfully unexposed many people are to basic PR/campaigning/advertising/etc. practices. They see stuff that would barely even register as a tuesday in regards to interorganizational communication/negotiation and whatnot and flip.

S'just, like. What did people think this stuff looked like? How the hell is this some kind of surprise?

Advertising is fine. It's the scale of the deceptions and manipulations tha pisses me off. I can understand on an intellectual level that it happen without it processing in my moral/emotional center exactly how much that happens.

It's just not acceptable to me how much that happens, in a similar way to how unacceptable I find it when people don't even bother listening to the opposition. It is something wrong with the world.

There have been no deceptions or manipulations uncovered by this.  People are just taking things out of context and typing in the smug teenager mockery voice.  Christ, and this is the election where we have fucking Trump.  Literally the most dishonest candidate ever nominated by a major party.  Dishonesty isn't you saying thing that teenagers can get excited about on the internet based on three nanoseconds of consideration.  Dishonesty is lying to say that you opposed the Iraq war from the start when you didn't, calling your opponents criminals and claiming anonymous sources.  There is actual clear cut dishonesty and people cant see the difference anymore because they have taught themselves that controversy is the same thing as deception.

Yes and I hate Trump too. But there's no point in hating Trump. We are supposed to be better than that, though.

I get that you hate Bernie, and I get the impression it's from needing  (or feeling the need) to defend Hillary for so long against people who support him, but I don't like it in anyone! Particularly not in the people I'm supporting!

Don't attack me for getting pissed off at a fucked up system, mainiac. The ways in which I dislike Hillary are basically the same as the ways in which I dislike Bill. I dislike the way the Media currently works far more, though, as well as the system as a whole. Because those are far harder to change.

I didn't say anything about hating Trump and I didn't say anything about hating Bernie.  I said something about being able to tell the difference between actual dishonesty and hurt feelings.  And I think a big part of why you can't do this is because you just kneejerk slapped a partisan label on what I said.
