I wish we had more conservatives like that stonekettle guy, I like having a non-strawman I can disagree with while maintaining respect for their positions. I hope he's right about Trump being the "George Wallace broken in a wheelchair ranting at schoolkids" moment for the GOP.

On one hand, the only person I can think of further down than Donald Trump is David Duke.

On the other hand, I and many others have been saying the GOP is going to realize that it's Time To STOP for....16 years now.

I mean, shit, maybe there's some other demarcation of terrible we haven't even thought of yet, like nominating Ford Motor Company as the 2020 Republican nominee.

Or they'll just run Trump over and over until the icy hand of death finally comes for him, having won only Idaho in the 2028 election.

Man, that sounds like even worse of an idea than I expected.

While the web was born at CERN, the internet arguably was born with the transnational pipes, it's over 35 years old, and has been in the US for at least that long...

Wow this thread is giving me weird dreams. I think it must have been that manure dumping incident. I had a dream about Trump standing on a podium giving a speech, but instead of sound, manure gushed out of his mouth, filling the entire congress hall or stadium he was speeching in, leading to people panicking and screaming and crushing each other like Hillsborough '89. The worst part of it all was that I couldn't stop laughing. I was trying to rescue trampled people from under heaps of manure (I believe I was using a pitchfork)  but even while doing that I kept on laughing and laughing.

Weird dreams are weird.

Oh bleeping joy, and not in a good way.

For those that don't want to click the link, white supremacists/nationalists (KKK, Neo-Nazis, militias, you name it) are plotting to come out in force to monitor polling places. Not only that, they're blatantly targeting minority neighborhoods.

This coming Election Day is gonna be !!!FUN!!! for us all. Kind of feels like we're approaching the days where voting fraud and dirty tricks were rampant in the 19th century.

Voter fraud is still functionally sodding nonexistent. The dirty tricks are more of a thing, particularly via voter suppression*, but there's at least some pushback on that. Example being... gods, forgot already. But some legal injunction or another got refreshed on the republican party this cycle, for their continued dickbaggery on that front.

*Though it's kinda' lookin' like their recently preferred trick is to use voter registration fraud (which is more of a thing, but has pretty much fuckall to do with the actual vote) as an excuse to purge or stick legitimate (primarily minority, of bloody course) registrations in limbo.
