The eleventh woman accusing Trump of sexual assault just came out.

She's a porn star, who flirted with Trump and gave him her phone number, then accepted an invitation to his penthouse where she flirted with him some more, he gave her a kiss on the lips once and she didn't try to stop him, she stayed afterwards and hung out for another hour before leaving. She freely admits that she was totally okay with the encounter at the time, and is only calling it sexual assault now because she wants to hurt Trump's campaign.

I honestly hope that Trump is successful in his suit against these women. Someone needs to send a message that people can't just cry 'sexual assault!' at the drop of a hat to satisfy their own goals.

She's a "pro", so this gives her more publicity, thus potentially making her more money. That makes her quite different to the other accusers. Just because one person is an opportunist doesn't mean they all are, or even that any of the others are.

Trump promising lawsuits is a lose for everyone. The guy is lawsuit-mad, having issued over 3500 lawsuits in his life. He even counter-sues people who sue him, using ridiculous cases just to wear them down.

Should we cheer Trump issuing yet another ridiculous lawsuit in order to shut people up? He has a history of doing so, much more than these women have a history of shouting "sexual assault".

But yeah, just because she's a prostitute doesn't mean that her story is automatically thrown away.

And yeah, trump pretty much embodies the whole 'I'll sue you!' stereotype and sues for just about every single slight, even cases that would just be thrown out.

Also, interestingly Trump was actually a lobbyist for a very brief time. Doesn't sound like he did or achieved much of anything while doing that. Hardly surprising that he is focusing solely on White House lobbyists, which isn't even the majority of the problem.

I've commented on two of these accusers previously. This is certainly not the first statement that is suspect.

Granted, I've not listened to every single accuser's story, and some of them may be more legitimate. But I'd expect that if any of them had real substance that we would have heard more about them by now, beyond lumping them all together as a number.

Granted, I've not listened to every single accuser's story, and some of them may be more legitimate. But I'd expect that if any of them had real substance that we would have heard more about them by now, beyond lumping them all together as a number.

And real susbstance being what? Videos from cameras attached to their heads (though technically that's what eyes are, and the video would be memory*) and/or sexual organs?.

*Of course though, memory isn't infallible either.

I don't care about his views being respected. I care about respecting him, as a person, because he is still a human being. That's what tolerance means. It doesn't mean acceptance. It doesn't mean you like them. It means you aren't a dick for disagreeing. Just because you've decided what should or should not be does not mean you get to attack people for it. It's proper etiquette on this forum to show respect, it's common courtesy not to attack people in real life, and attacking people for their views is a large enough problem in real life as it is that you don't need to exacerbate it.

I mean, if you want to set it as the standard that we're all allowed to insult each other for acting in ways that we don't like? If you've noticed, I've not insulted you (unless you think me saying you're insulting someone is in itself an insult, somehow), but I could change my behavior to fit yours, if you prefer. I'd rather not, personally, but hey, maybe you're right. Maybe you are less likely to change your actions if I make it my personal taboo to socially censure you.

Well...not really. When you get a whole bunch, the news just focuses on that. That's not a real good basis to base it on. The fact that they're sticking through a suit from Trump is counter-evidence, since he can just pour money into it and it's probably going to be real expensive for them to maintain.
