Anyhow remember that 60+% of Conservatives oppose Gay Marriage

By all means it is within his right to ban it again.
Except it isn't, and if he tries, we should sue him.

So your argument is because you don't know better, just trust him? Despite all the evidence to the contrary?

I should just trust you and Hillary then right?

I don't give a shit if you trust me. I wasn't running for president. But I at least expected conservatives to exercise the same judgment they'd apply when a used car salesmen is trying to sell them an overpriced piece of shit saying "it'll be great." Hilary wasn't perfect by any extent of the imagination. But the unwillingness to let her win elected a charlatan.

I voted to spite the DNC.

Well then enjoy the mess you helped create. I'm sure when the founding fathers wrote about an informed electorate, this is exactly what they had in mind.
Wow, you can just jog right on then.
Jesus Christ, you can't comprehend that people have their own agendas so you QUESTION THEIR INTELLIGENCE?
Man, go out in the world and learn to understand people not collectives.

American politics is going further and FURTHER into the idea that parties should not be responsible for all of America but rather their party politics.

He's going to appoint justices who will do that for him.

Blame the founders, not the game they made.  ::)

Can the President be sued for gross negligence?

If you think that handing all three branches of government to the GOP will help progressive policy then uh

It was kinda made that way so that certain geographic aglomerations didn't get to rule the whole country. 'murica isn't one homogenous society, its a whole half a continent composed of a whole shitton of different people with different interests, if just pure majority of votes was taken into account, you might just as well rename it the united republic of new york, california and florida.

the government has no grounds to make policy based on religious beliefs.  That fact is baked into the constitution. As a consequence, the government has no grounds to dictate policy concerning gay marriage.  Or church attendence, or religious indoctrination in schools, or... or...

The GOP does not seem to understand that the US govt is not, and never was "for a christian nation."  Our government was designed to be agnostic. Is there a legitimate, non-religious reason to be opposed to gay people getting married? I dont see one.

That GOP cronies feel they need to oppose it based on their "faith" (which is so poor that they get involved in sexual scandals all over, despite what their friend jesus says about sexual immorality-- it being all the same to him, and equally intolerable, making them hypocrites as well, which their friend Jesus has even more harsh things to say about...) is very unsettling, on every level.

They have unbelievable levels of double and even triplethink going on in there.

"Clinton wasn't a suitable candidate" > It's the best that ever existed
I can't believe there's people on this forum that actually think Clinton was the best candidate for Dems. Before the primaries were over it seemed Bay12 pol threads were for Bernie and hated Hilldawg.

Democracy.
My understanding of the electoral college is that the system is supposed to keep all states or regions with roughly similar influence in the presidential election outcomes. If it was purely popular vote all a candidate would probably ever care about or campaign in would be the urban population centers of the nation, and not care about rural or small towns at all.
