Dude, have you ever looked, I mean really looked at things? Like, you know, shoes, goats, walls, fish, plants, body parts... things like that? It's like, wow, this is some deep shit right here, man. I could spend the rest of my life just looking at things.
It's kind of funny how this is my life philosophy. Not in the stoner way, but in how anything's interesting if you analyze it enough.
That's what I was thinking looking at the lake. There's just a lot to look at, even in small things, and big things are really just groups of lots of small things.

Wyoming has a volcano, Montana is like a fashion model: beautiful and boring, why is North Dakota even a thing, so South Dakota isn't the worst Dakota?
Best Dakota. Best Carolina. Best America.

Idaho lets you make puns. That's good enough for me.

All threads die. Not all threads live.
This convinced me to PTW.
In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony god's blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my intelligence.
This meme always worries me because it's exactly the kind of thing I would post while drunk.
But that's the opposite of deep, man.
[good refrance snipped]
That's pretty deep, honestly.
I looked at a lake today.
Literally
Sometimes I look at little critters wandering around, like the male stag beetle I found flipped over in the carport earlier, and wonder what sort of qualia make up their world.
Then I found a female and nudged him towards her, prompting him to walk up, grab hold of her, and start humping her face.
Fake.  A watched animal never screws, at least in my experience.
So she's half dead, and then he comes up and starts grinding on her noggin?
Better to go out on a bang, or a whimper.

Mine too actually.  It's how I justify looking at the internet so much.
So much chaos, so inane, and yet there is so much meaning to be found.  Sometimes it requires imagination, but sometimes the meaning is surprisingly self-evident and thought-provoking..
Even American culture? 0_o
get out
Best Dakota. Best Carolina. Best America.
No, best America is...
...
I really want to say North Carolina but this is the opposite of a meme thread.
America is best America.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

South America has the Atacama observatories, which is way better than anything we've got, only Hawaii gets close.

Back on topic!

Deep sounding but really stupid thought time.

Nobody else can take a shower for you.

True, though it's rarely as fun as it sounds, very slippery floor, hard to get leverage, just not worth it.

It came up btw, because I just mowed the lawn, came in to cool off and shower, but I was tired so I asked the missus to take my shower for me, and she was like "only YOU can shower for YOU, nobody else can do that" which I thought was amazing, like so many hilarious things she says.

I keep thinking things that would be neat to put here, but I can't remember any of then just now.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

The human mind is severely error prone with many odd or nonsensical imperfections, making the idea of intelligent design very confusing.
