@Team Amazon:

They've arrived at the staff shop after a brief trek.

"Ah, greetings! How nice to see two noble ladies with their servants every once in a while. Please, please, I have all the grandiose staves you need. Large investments in my wares will surely pay off in the long run!"

He then showed his wares.

"Hey, sis. I got a shiny new toy! Not as fancy as yours, but it should do me well enough."
She flipped her axe into the air and caught the handle, grinning, and silently resisted the urge to say "ow" from where the handle had banged painfully into her fingers.

In the shop, she'd put the axe away, but was shaking her head.

"No... these aren't really the things I'm looking for. I want to curse people. These do rather the opposite. Is there anywhere that sells ailment staves? "

Iris just shook her head as her sister tried to show off and winced as she mishandled the flip slightly.

"You always were one more for the brute force, huh? At least that's a throwing axe. Should keep you off the front line at least a little bit. Means I won't need to worry about you as much."

[GiglameshDespair]

Flora waved a dismissive hand.
"I'm fine looking after myself. No need to worry about me!"
She inclined her head to gaze at her sister.
"In fact, as a big sister, I'm pretty sure I'm legally bound to be the worrying one, especially with you on the front line. So don't worry about a thing! I've got it covered."

[Haspen]

@Boudicca Quarter:

"Alas! I only deal in beneficial staves."

[Swordstar]

Iris rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure. You'll worry about me. Certainly no reason for me to ever worry about you. Or your delusions."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Then we'll have to go elsewhere. Come on, girls!"

To a shop where such sinister things as ailment staves are sold!

Iris rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure. You'll worry about me. Certainly no reason for me to ever worry about you. Or your delusions."

"Delusions?! Why, sister, you wound me so, ye of little faith."

"You're the one who thinks she can find a way to raise the dead with no negative side effects."

Shaelynn raised an eyebrow. "Flora, you're researching resurrection?"

[Swordstar]

Iris winced slightly as she realized she'd somewhat forgotten there were others around her. But it was too late to take it back now.

[Haspen]

Alas, Flora couldn't find any such shoppe. Tis a pity!

[Gaterhyme]

"Yup." Gregory says, rummaging around for a few minutes before producing the coffer again. "Take whatever you need."

Suzanne gave a small, disapproving hum, but stopped the sound quickly upon realizing it was audible. She beckoned them to the side, out of the way of traffic. Then, with careful movements, she began working on what was within the coffer, stuffing the items into her satchel and the folds in her clothing that she often used to store messages, distributing everything as evenly as possible to shield the jangling coins with muffling cloth.

She returned the somewhat diminished coffer when she was done.

"Thank you, Captain."

With that she was gone again, moving through the streets.

As they walked through the streets, Iris spotted Suzanne. Waving to her, she asked the other woman,

"Oh, quick question! Do you have any idea where my sister might find an ailment style staff? They seem to be less common over here than they were back home, so any help you could give us would be appreciated."

[Gaterhyme]

She stopped short, caught off-balance for a moment until recognizing just who she was dealing with.

"I do."

Her eyes moved towards... the other Brandt. This was hardly the time for formal introductions. At least she could remember the descriptions for the staves she had briefly examined.

"But only a couple. Would you rather inflict sleep or poison?"

Flora responded a tad snappish. They'd had this argument before.
"There's magic to heal wounds and magic to raise the dead. There has to be a way. I've told you why I wanted to come hear, the stories they have about resurrection. I'm sure that somewhere in this land is a method."

Shaelynn raised an eyebrow. "Flora, you're researching resurrection?"

"Yeah... yes, I am. It's why I started studying magic and alchemy in the first place. "

"But only a couple. Would you rather inflict sleep or poison?"

"Poison always seemed more effective  for combat than making the enemy nap for a bit."
