[Blade Master Model 42]

Shaelynn's fist clenched around the bedsheet. "Is he alright? Is everyone else alright?"

[Haspen]

"Captain Astleich was crushed under a piece of the catacomb's ceiling and perished. All others got through it with broken appendages and gashes, but they're alright." Shae's father stroked his beard.

"It's not particularily a true emergency, but Torriani have sent a message with help of magic to the Reichland. We will need a new investigator, after all."

[Blade Master Model 42]

Shaelynn sighed and was silent for a moment. Then she unclenched her fist. "Father, there is a revolutionary movement. It is either based in the belief that Overseaslanders should rule themselves as they did in the days of the Troian Empire, or is exploiting a mistrust of the Reich. Did we learn anything in my absence?"

[Haspen]

"Not much, I'm afraid. The catacombs were searched thoroughly but all information died with the woman others have mentioned." Governor let out a tired sigh.

"Well, at least we found my friend Raben..."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"I take it that this isn't a source of good news either."

[Haspen]

"His body was found west of the Abado. Someone cut his throat and left him behind in the woods."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"So on top of losing one of our investigators, and having no one to interrogate, we are completely out of leads." Shaelynn's fists were shaking. It wasn't fair. She'd done everything she could, and she was still failing.

[Haspen]

"Don't worry. I'm sure everything will be fine. Now, how about you get out of bed and have a little walk? Just don't overdo it... the healers spent quite a while trying to fix your legs."

Meanwhile, in the dining hall of the estate, the remainder of the team was served lunch; a thick vegetable soup and bread.

Alissa is in a bad mood, but not as bad as one might expect, really. On the one hand, obvious reasons would have her down. But on the other, while they'd been healing her for her comparatively small injuries- compared to those at the epicenter- they'd gotten rid of a leg ache that had been plaguing her for a month and she was pretty sure she could properly dance again. Regardless, she begins to eat her soup quietly.

Shaelynn swung her legs over the bed, gingerly putting weight on them as she straightened up. "Father, it won't be fine! There are people making a concerted effort to remove Reich authority from the Overseasland, and you are the central pillar of that authority. They're going to come after you sooner or later unless we can find and stop them!" Shaelynn managed to fully stand off of the bed without her legs giving way or her vision blacking out, so that was good.

[Haspen]

"I've already asked for more guards to patrol the streets and accompany me around. Besides, you said it yourself, dear - we have no leads. Where am I supposed to send your companions to?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"I... I..." Shaelynn stomped her foot. "I don't know. We can't just sit and do nothing! It won't solve anything!" Shaelynn looked around, her frustration building. "Where is my tome?"

Alissa is in a bad mood, but not as bad as one might expect, really. On the one hand, obvious reasons would have her down. Cecil is in the chair next to her, writing down something. He seems relieved, now that Alissa's okay.

"I feel more comfortable when I have it, that's all."
