Shaelynn secured the book inside her belt pouch, and left the book shop.

Find Iris because Greg wandered off.

Flora hadn't left yet, and watched Altha's zombie-like progress through to a table. She smiled, taking a cup and stirring fragrant powder into warm water. She added a dash of sugar, then placed the cup in front of Altha.
She'd made it for her before, and generally it got her back in to a vague sense of living, at least.

"Here, drink this."

She didn't expect much intelligible reply for at least a minute.

Whatever happened in the ensuing conversation (assuming an irate Altha did not eat Flora's face, or something), she headed down to Leopoldo's Murderous Projectiles armoury to pick up a new toy. She'd been before, and knew the way. It didn't take much browsing before she found a weapon she liked, a short and sturdy handaxe suitable for splitting wood and/or skulls.

"Hello! I'd like a handaxe, please!"

Flora finally could stop being occassional damsel in distress.

[Furtuka]

Altha grabbed the cup without missing a beat and took a sip. It had taken a long time to give into Flora's badgering to try it out, but since then she had to admit the brew was quite effective.

"...Is the sun still out?" she asked in between spoonfuls of soup.

[Haspen]

@Good Samaritan Suzie:

"Oh, we are allowed to pay 125 per a full vulnerary."

[GiglameshDespair]

"It sure is! About noon, in fact." She waited another moment for the stimulant herbs to kick in more, thenleaned in slightly. "So? Anything useful from studying the shield?"

[Furtuka]

Altha set down her food and looked up at her co-worker.

"Nothing about the charm seems related to the nature of its former master unfortunately. It's just a reinforcement enchantment, albeit a rather strong one."

"I did discover something peculiar though. The enchantment is apparently designed to be transferable, not just between objects, but you could even directly bind it to a living thing with what my calculations suggest would be a minimal loss of cohesion. I must give the ancient Overseaslanders some credit, it's rather ingenious really. The weaving structure has been put together well enough that the transfer process could even be performed by some low-life magicless peasant if given the instructions. It's as if the spell was a piece of cloth draped over the shield and tied together with its internal anima. I'll require many more samples if I'm to discover how to replicate it however."

"Did anything noteworthy and non-imbecilic occur within the past few days?" ask Altha, as thanks to the tea her lucidity had grown to the point that she was beginning to become fully cognizant of the fact that she had spent the last three days in her room.

[Chevaleresse]

Siegfried nods. "Indeed. The shop has a somewhat uncouth name, but the weapons seem to be good enough and reasonably priced, so I was going to buy a javelin. You have the funds, though."

[Criptfeind]

"Ah! Of course! I probably should have split up up the money before we all went about. Totally slipped my mind!" Gregory said with a snap of his fingers. Reaching into his pack he pulled out the small coffer, sliding it open and pulled out some Reichmarks and handing them over to Siegfried. "Hopefully that'll cover it. Lets go and pick out a nice shiny spear. Or. Unless spears aren't suppose to be shiny. Lets go pick out a nice spear, whatever metric for nice is important for spears." Gregory said cheerfully as he started to follow  Siegfried.

[Chevaleresse]

Siegfried raises an eyebrow at his energy, but doesn't comment. He returns to the shop and purchases 1 Iron Javelin.

[GiglameshDespair]

"I've spend most of the last three days making sure everyone healed properly. Things have happened, the intelligence of them up for debate. Shaelynn's father is under house arrest for suspected treason. A new agent from the Reich showed up and declared Gregory as captain, since Astlich got... well. Squashed."

She took a moment to think about the old magic of the Overseasland.

"It is kind of impressive, isn't it? They were talking about necromancy and mind magic, earlier. I never really found anything to do with that, back in the Reich, beyond a few dusty books. That skeleton... I wonder how old it was, and it was still animate after all that time. Like some of the stories of their magic wars in the past, if you believe them at least a little."

[Haspen]

And so Sieg also got a javelin.

[Chevaleresse]

Siegfried thanks the shopkeeper and leaves with the weapon resting over a shoulder. "So, Gregory, have you obtained anything interesting?"
