@Iris:

The shop was empty besides a table, few crates near the window, and a lone redhead youth with abundane of freckles.

"Oh, eh, my weapons? Um, well, I haven't done unpacking yet and I take so much time making just one so... I apologize for inconvenience... but my selection isn't that great to be honest..." He opened some crates and presented few weapons for Iris.

Alissa decides to look around the city for a less directly-related-to-combat shop. She's not a healer or a fighter, but performers have their own things that help them be useful to a group.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

@Alissa:

Alas, there currently was no such shop in entirety of Blumhart.

A helpful old bazaar lady mentioned a traveling caravan that deals in instruments and other items, and that they visit very irregularly. No luck for Alissa this time.

They have found a shop ran by a fat man in his 50s and with impressively decorated dark green robe.

Gregory goes though the selection, rubbing his chin as he riffles though the books, paying particular attention to the selection of dark magic tomes.

"I must say, this is quite a bit more of an impressive collection then I expected! I've heard that such magic is somewhat unfavored over here in the overseasland, to be honest, I wasn't expecting to find someone selling any at all. It's good to see that not everyone relies solely on superstition and emotions in their choice of what magic to support."

"According to my mother, such attitudes are long holdovers from the old Troian Empire. Long ago, dark magic was banned and anima magics were policed heavily."

Siegfried somewhat dubiously heads for the Murderous Projectiles.

@Siegfried:

Siegfried was presented with the wares.

@Shaegreg:

The old man smiled, showing his yellowish teeth.

"I'm a Reich merchant, not a local peasant, thank you very much."

Arnold needed to get his mind off this nonsense for a while. He heads out to get some fresh air and look for a store that sells staves.

If he happens to find Iris, he'll try to talk to her.

"Interesting. I should return momentarily, if you'll pardon me." Siegfried gives the shopkeeper a polite nod before heading to find Gregory.

"I'm a Reich merchant, not a local peasant, thank you very much."

"I suppose I should have guessed that from your stock, perhaps a bit limited compared to the universes back home, but still very impressive given the location. If I'm in need of such tomes, which I could likely be in the future, I know I'll have to come back to your fine establishment. " Gregory replied.

Suzanne took a while to examine the herbs and medicines laid out before her. Then she inclined her head towards the sister, acknowledging her presence.

"I suppose not all good deeds pay for themselves."

"How much is the compensation?"

Altha slowly made her through the estate hallways, slowly dragging her feet from exhaustion. Not only had she had to lug that heavy shield out of the ruins while running for her life, but she had spent the past few days pulling all-nighters studying the samples she had managed to save from their excursion.

To her disgust so far she hadn't managed to find anything regarding the strange phenomena that had been encountered that night. On the other hand however, she had made progress on her lifting charm, and even unraveled an interesting property of the shield she had retrieved. If her analysis of the enchantment's thaumaturgic weavings were correct, with the right ritual it would be possible to life the spell right off the shield and attach it to a person without risk to its underlying structures. It was a very simple matter actually. The shield itself however... likely wouldn't survive the process. It seemed that skeletons weren't the keenest when it came to maintenance of their equipment. The enchantment was likely the only thing keeping the piece of metal from falling apart as it is.

As Altha's study of the item had progressed she was actually beginning to suspect that the transitiveness of the enchantment was a deliberate property. Far too much care had been put into ensuring its continued stability to be a coincidence, especially when some off its focal-points could easily have been sacrificed in exchange for increasing the potency of its defensive attributes. Magical items which could be sacrificed in exchange for power... she had heard rumors of such things being found in the Overseasland, but she had always dismissed them as mere fantasy and folk  tales. After all, from her brief experiences outside the walls, the people of this land were incredibly backwards in their treatment of the magical arts. With those attitudes it was no wonder that they hadn't even discovered Geomancy until the coming of the Reich! For them to have made these kinds of artifacts, something which had been considered to be such a difficult task during her days at the academy. It seemed that their tumultuous history had caused much magical knowledge to be lost over time. If more of these things were out there, perhaps she should be considering going outside more... how annoying.

The growling of Altha's stomach interrupted her sleep deprived musing. Entering the long vacated dining hall she grabbed a bowl of now lukewarm soup and took a seat, paying no mind to the mess which was splashed all over the other end of the table. Whatever idiocy had taken place here, she wanted no part of it.

Nodding to the shop keeper Gregory made his way outside the shop, deciding he didn't really need a new tome right now, he figure he would try to see if he could find any of the others. After walking though the marketplace for a short while, he noticed Siegfried heading towards him. Giving him a grin and a wave, Gregory moved closer.

"Ho! Siegfried! Have you found anything to your liking?" Gregory asked.
