Gregory nods stiffly, before relaxing somewhat.

"I'm sure there's something left in the kitchen." Gregory replied, with a wave to a servant. "If we could please have some food for Miss Suzanne?" He asked the servant with a small grin. "I'm sure she's tired after her long voyage."

That taken care of he turns to the other three soldiers, opening up the orders and reading them with them. As Gregory and the other three read the orders to investigate Archibald Bonefaz of Wyrmpeak, and his connection to a certain group of dissidents reads his eyebrows raised, a serious expression overtaking most of his face. However, a small grin appeared across lips. Perhaps this was the lead that would bring everything together. With a nod he turns towards the rest of the people in the room.

"I think that our first step is to inform Torriani so he may start his interim duties. But before that, I'd like to have a word with Miss Peritz, if she wouldn't mind." Gregory said, gesturing to a hallway.

[Haspen]

Some bread and stew was soon brought for Suzanne by a maid.

[Gaterhyme]

The mask slipped back on as quickly as it had gone.

"Lieutenant Vogt or just Suzanne, Captain."

She stared down at the stew. In truth, she would not have been surprised to discover that one of the serving staff had spit in it as petty revenge for delivering the message that questioned their master's loyalty to the Reich.

Quietly, she began to eat.

Without so much as a word, Shaelynn stepped past Gregory into the hall.

[Mopsy]

Arnold glares at Suzanne
Coward. Coward or worse.

and his squadmates.
Bloody fools.

I think I'm starting to warm up to axes.

[Gaterhyme]

Suzanne glances up only to meet Arnold's gaze. His glare.

Her expression doesn't change.

She returns to eating.

Iris watched as Arnold reacted to the decision, making a mental note of it. His facial expression gave away quite a bit. Interesting.

She gave a mental shrug and went to sit down next to Flora.

Siegfried gives Arnold a dubious look, then shakes his head slightly and deposits himself next to Cecil.

Once out of the earshot of her father, Gregory turned to Shaelynn.

"First off I want to say I'm sorry that things took this turn so quickly. Although I suppose I should have seen it coming... Still, as you said, you're committed to finding your father innocent, and if he is indeed innocent, it seems the best way to me to clear his name is to find the real culprit. The message that was sent to us was not just that your father was under arrest, but also another lead to follow. I, for obvious reasons, didn't want to say this in front of your father, but apparently one Archibald Bonefaz of Wyrmpeak has a connection to the dissenters, and we've been ordered to investigate him. It's become clear that whoever is ultimately behind this controls a lot of resources and people, and I'm not sure of the capability of just the six of us to handle it on our own. Not to mention the suspect nature of any help we could further request. To that end, I would ask if you're still with us in this investigation, possibly to clear your fathers name.... Although also possibly to turn up evidence that damns him."

"I trust my father completely. The investigation, in the end, will exonerate him. Regardless of whether or not you can rally any of the others to stand by us, I will stay with you until we reach the end of the investigation. I have no intention of leaving."

[Criptfeind]

Gregory nods.

"I figured that your body guards and your fathers servants would be far more likely to help help the investigation if I first made sure to procure your assistance... And I hope your father is cleared of the charges. I'm going to go and ask the others." Gregory says, and baring any response that requires action, heads back into the dining room.

Shaelynn reenters the dining hall with Gregory.

Gregory looked around at the civilian bodyguards and the two magic users that had been sent with them to the tomb.  Speaking loudly enough to be clearly heard by all of them, Gregory spoke up.

"I think I should inform you all that a new lead in the investigation has cropped up. And I believe it would behoove us to follow this lead as soon as possible. After talking with Miss Peritz, she has stated her intention to continue her role in helping us investigate. I'd also like to ask for the assistance of the rest of you, civilian or not, you've all proven your resourcefulness and worth to our investigative attempts, and given the nature of this investigation and the relative lack of resources at our disposal your further assistance in this matter would very greatly appreciated.

I plan on informing the interim governor of the changes to circumstances first and then proceeding. And hopefully we well be able to find a source of additional equipment, as it seems our current stores is sorely lacking."

Shaelynn approached her father. "It's as Gregory says. I'm going to continue the investigation, and I will find evidence to restore you to your position father. But we have few resources. Is there anything you're prepared to contribute under the circumstances?"

[Haspen]

"I cannot give you any of the city funds or the emergency money, I'm sorry. They could make that into charge of embezzlement of Reich money, ha." The man stroked his beard.

"But! At least there are house savings and Shae's wedding fund. I'm sure we can nick a bit from that. Please wait here a moment." Then Shaelynn's father left with two servants.
