"Oh, greetings, Lady Peritz. I trust your recovery has gone well?"

"Well, I suppose so, apart from being asleep for three days. I'm more concerned about our investigation to be perfectly frank."

Seeing Shaelynn had recovered was a considerable blow to Gregorys bad mood. Putting aside his book he sprung upward, grin spreading across his face.

"Finally recovered and up and about?! Hopefully now that we're all recovered we can find a way to continue the investigation!" he said happily. After thinking for a moment, he continued "I don't suppose your father has told you anything of importance we've not been privy too?"

"Nothing. That fire mage didn't have any evidence to lead us forward, and Raben was found dead. We have no leads or even conjecture to follow." Shaelynn's hands had balled into fists again. "Someone is ought there, trying to stir up a war against the Reich, and I- we can't do anything about it."

[Criptfeind]

"Damn. That's a shame..." Gregory said, crestfallen. He sat back down in his chair, resting his head on a hand for a moment. Before brightening up somewhat.

"Still, these people, who ever they are, can't keep their activities hidden forever. At some point they will slip up and we'll be right back on their trail. We'll dog them out until we manage to bring them to justice and answer for all they've done." He said with a confident smile.

"My concern is that there'll be more deaths before we have a trail to follow again. We don't need that."

[Chevaleresse]

"Indeed... Still, three days is not a long time. There could very well be information that simply has not reached us yet."

"I suppose it's possible. Hopefully, the replacement of the late Captain will have something for us to go on."

[Criptfeind]

Gregory grimaces, nodding.

"Yeah... It's obviously not ideal. But it seems like it might be our best option... And at the very least it means we're not hopeless... Right?"

"Your dad was a soldier too, Friderick? Was he stationed here?"

"Ah, I don't think he was. Why do you ask?"

"...Hello, everyone."

"Hello! It's good too see you again!"

"Ah, I don't think he was. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I was interested in hearing what he had told you about his time in Overseasland. Partially to learn more about this place but also out of simple curiosity. My own father served here for several years, you see, and it might've been interesting to compare their experiences."

Jann nodded at Shaelynn from his seat.
: "Good to see you up." He spared a moment to refill his bowl, "Think you can still cast? Looks like our enemy isn't above using necromancy-ridden areas to their benefit, so I'm thinking we'll need your light magic for a ways to come."

Shaelynn scoffed, and raised one hand, index finger lazily extended. Bright light formed on her palm, then danced across and over her finger in a thin line. "As long as I have my hands, I'll be able to cast, I assure you." Shaelynn allowed the light to die and then took a seat with grace characteristic of the nobility. "Hopefully we won't see more skeletons. I could hardly believe that we saw the one that we did. I thought rumors of the persistence of such things were just that."

: "Good to hear. But I can't make any promises. The demons of the past are going to echo for quite a while yet."
The hunter took a couple spoonfuls of soup.
: "By the way, was there any real reason you decided to look over the catacombs back there again? Something catch your eye?"

Alissa, nearly done with her food, waves at Shaelynn as she arrives in the room.
