A female voice came from the very back of the crowd.

"YEAH! ITS A PROOF!!"

"People of Blumhart! The boy speaks the truth! It is not yet unknown who performed this vile act, but res assured that the governor's officials will do their best to find the culprit - even if it is a group from the Reich!"

In the same moment, a group of six people - four guards and two females - came outside. Chief Advisor looked at one of the girls.

"Aren't you..." He turned to two of the guards. "You two, bring me the fire-stick. If anything goes bad, we will use it to scare the mob away." The soldiers looked at Chief Advisor with confused expressions.

"Right. Long box on the floor in the armory, with Reich seal. There's a metal pipe on wooden frame inside. Bring me that and the bags from the box also." As the pair left, Chief Advisor turned toward the girl in alchemist's garb.

"Chief Alchemist told you how to load the fire-stick, right?" Captain Astleich turned to the Advisor with confused expression.

"Fire-stick?"

"Something from the Reich. I really hope I won't have to use it yet."

"Please, there must be an explanation for this! Rioting is only going to end with more people being hurt! I do not wish for anyone here to come to harm."

: "Great, now they mention that little detail. Well, that makes the idea of this being staged more likely. No way they should know that without hearing from the villagers who witnessed everything."
: "Now the question is, how can we prove that's irrelevant to the bigger picture? Or at the very least, separate the instigators out of the crowd-"
Jann glanced over when he heard the Chief Advisor mention some new weapon.
: "...That had best be a last resort."

At least they're not attacking us. Maybe they'll give up and go home eventually... Who was that, shouting about Reich weapons!?
Arnold moves to (9,4) and tries to spot the woman who shouted about weapons.

Flora Brandt, Alchemist extraordinaire, was feeling kind of nervous at the sight of the riot, but hey, things seemed under control.

Maybe.

"The fire-stick? I sure do, sir!"

"Great."

Arnold, in the meanwhile, saw no women in the crowd. All were men of various ages and appearances, but there was no one female-looking at all, and not a single person was hooded. Whoever shouted about the Reich weapons being found, must've left right afterwards.

Friderick moved towards further forward, and mumbled something under his breath.
"Honestly, they're the ones who should be called savages..."

Alissa takes a deep breath and heads forward.

"Explain to me how Reich weapons are proof. The Reich have been here for decades; it isn't as though there is a shortage of their weapons. Whoever told you that, left out that Reich weapons were also used to prevent the attackers from wiping out the village. Anyone who survived there could tell you that if you listened."

Simple and rational, nothing that could not be proven. No over-the-top speech. That was the strategy, and nobody could say Alissa did nothing whether it worked or didn't. Probably helps that she is quite visibly not even carrying a weapon.

8-6, hold.

Gregory was unconformable in this situation, as a Reich soldier he was unsure if he could possibly help talk down the crowd, or if even trying would simply make the situation worse. Deciding that he could not say anything of worth other then echoing what had already been said, and that coming from his mouth could only weaken the message, Gregory decided to stay still and silent, keeping an eye out for any of the provocateurs.

Do nothing, except look out.
