"No, but we came here to look for a potentially dangerous man caleld Raben. He apparently moved here lately, according to Miss Peritz."

His ear perked again on hearing the name.
: "...Sounds familiar. I might know something." He crossed his arms, "But what's it worth to you? I'll start talking when I hear some answers as to why you're here looking for this sod, deal?"

[Haspen]

"State secrets." Captain Astleich mused for a while. "But his friends might be trying to endanger the peace and prosperity brought to this land by the Reich, so naturally we want to interrogate him."

[CrimsonEon]

The man's mouth slanted further, and he pulled his arm up to his chin, musing for a couple moments.
: "Yeah, state secrets, right." He breathed a heavy half-sigh half-groan, "...I guess there's a chance your chase is related to the attack here."
Lowering his hand, the axeman shook his head.
: "...Fine. Earlier this morning, a group of older men were standing around talking. They were low-profile in a way most people wouldn't turn their heads at, but they were doing it deliberately, making themselves scarce. I wasn't able to pick up much of their conversation, but one referred to another by that name, 'Raben'."

[Haspen]

"Anything else? Where are they now?"

The axeman stepped aside, gesturing towards the northern gate.
: "Can't say exactly. Only that the bunch ended up going north out of this village not long afterward."

[Haspen]

"Thank you. Your help will be valuable." And then Captain returned to his musings, much like we return to OOC thread now!

"I've decided to follow Miss Peritz's suggestion. Hopefully, we will still have time to catch Raben before we lose him from our grasp." And then the good Captain and the others went to help the villagers with healing and burial.

Mostly burial.

One of the village women approached Siegfried.

"Um... are you someone important? You have rather fancy uniform, mister, so I..."

Alissa breaths a sigh of relief as the last enemy leaves. If it wasn't raining, she'd wipe sweat off her forehead.

Cecil sighs as he canters over to Alissa, dismounting to check on her.
"You okay? Anything get you?"

"Not a scratch on me. What about you? I think they have a healer if you're hurt."

[Mopsy]

Once the fighting was over, Arnold began tending to the injured survivors.
"There we go, everything is back in place. If you develop problems with digestion, ask the herbalist for some Chamomile and Sunberry extract."

"Please rest and hold this still for three days, then you should be fine."

"No, I can't bring back people who have died. I'm very sorry."
When those duties were taken care of, he went to look around for something else to do, maybe even some clue as to what was going on.

There is a fairly obvious possibility here... Where's that chieftain again?
Arnold walked up to Jann.


"Excuse me, there's something I'd like to ask you. How long have you been living here?"

The young axeman, who immediately tried to apply some herbal remedies to his grievous wounds after finishing talking with the Captain, made an aside glare towards the priest who addressed him.
: "...I don't live here. I was passing by." He stated flatly before going back to tending his injuries.

"Just a scratch. A real man can't be brought down so easily!"
Cecil makes a rather pompous and dramatic pose.

One of the village women approached Siegfried.

"Um... are you someone important? You have rather fancy uniform, mister, so I..."

"That could be said. I am a member of the noble House Jubastacheit. We are a fairly small house, but proud. Though I do not stand particularly high in it, so here, I am merely your protector until more troops arrive." While he speaks, he briefly checks the woman for injury.

With the graves being dug and the survivors being tended to, Shaelynn set about drawing water to clean her blood out from her outfit, and to wash her hair.
