"Do we pursue Bonefaz?" For her part, Shaelynn was unsure if it would be the best decision. It was very possible that following him would lead them into another trap. Contacting the senate and informing them of his treachery could pull suspicion away from her father and toward where it deserved to be- though stopping to do so could deprive them of a lead. It was equally true that capturing or killing Bonefaz did not guarantee a way forward in their investigation either. All these thoughts swam through Shaelynn's head at a dizzying pace.

"Aye. We should. It's clear at this point he's guilty. Perhaps even the ring leader of this plot. If we can bring him down now it should at least give us a better idea of what's going on. And hopefully clear your fathers name!" Gregory said, moving towards the door of the room and leaning out to shout out towards the others "Guys! Bonefaz is fleeing, and Siegfried can only hold the passageway open for so long! We gota hurry!" Turning back to Seigfried Gregory walked up to the passageway. Patting the larger man on the shoulder he nodded to him as he looked into the passage below. "Think you can hold it open until we all get though?"

Pursuit seems to have won the vote.

Jann quickly came barreling in through the throne room.
: "No time to waste." He rushed quickly towards the passageway Siegfried was holding open, Steel Axe drawn, "The sooner we capture him the better, I'm not letting anyone else die for this."

Iris had been heading over towards Flora when she head the desperate yelling from up ahead in the room they'd broken into before. It seemed that their target had escaped and they were chasing after him. Giving a frustrated glance back at the unexplored castle, she shook her head and called out to those up ahead,

"I... I can't. There's too much information here that we could need. Go on ahead all of you. I'll... I'll catch up with you later. Somehow. But I need to do my job."

She knew Flora would likely stay with her, but hopefully the others would push forward.

Iris stays behind

Gregory nodded as he heard Iris talk.

"Okay, that makes sense, try to find what you can. If any of his little underlings are left, try to avoid fighting them. We'll meet back up once we've captured the Bonefaz."

Shaelynn stopped on her way to the passage. Iris was right, of course. To abandon what could be found here was foolish. But they also needed to pursue Bonefaz, in the end. Splitting up was the only real option. She did not like it though. "Please be careful Iris." Having said what she needed to, Shaelynn made her way into the passage, following closely behind Jann.

The eight rushed down the stairs, while Flora and Iris slinked into the shadows of the corridors above.

"What you mean it's jammed shut, you idiot! You were supposed to keep the escape route in perfect condition!"

"Uhhh, of course, sir. Must've been the servants slacking off."

"..." Dafeng crossed his arms behind his back while Bonefaz reddened on the face in near-meltdown.

"Idiots, all of you!! Bah, let me try this! Damned henchmen, ain't able to do anything right!..."

Gregory came around the corner, holding his hand up towards Bonefaz.

"Stop in the name of the  Reich! Archibald Bonefaz! You are under arrest and we're going to take you in for questioning, you're heavily outnumbered and have no where to go. Give up peacefully and finally blood can stop being shed. We've already had to kill many of your men, don't put even more of your peoples lives on the chopping block to prolong the inevitable!"

"No answer? Fine then, we'll take you in by force, and then you'll still answer for your crimes. If your men don't stand down, their blood is on your hands." Gregory said, although having no functioning weapon to back up his threat, he headed into the nearby chest, popping it open in hopes of finding something to help their fight against the mad noble.
